Uncharted 4: A Thief End’s PS4 Dynamic Theme Is Beautiful: Screenshots and Video Inside

Pre-order themes on PS4 are hit and miss, with publishers often just slapping a couple (or even just one) of pictures on the screen and calling it a day. Luckily Sony did not do that with its most anticipated title for next year: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Going digital was the best choice I made personally, the cost of a 2tb hdd was less than what I would pay in taxes and I get instant access :D but I only buy exclusives and launch games on PS4, anything else can wait for steam sales! That said I spend about the same on both platforms, and I will definitely be spending my money on this!

I went digital when PS4 was released and then had to send my PS4 in to be replaced after having that ejection issue. I had to re-download everything. It cost me $70 in bandwidth overage fees, and I didn't even get everything downloaded. I decided then that it wasn't the right time to go digital. But when my ISP decides to get on board the new millennium, I'll be back. (I'm all digital on PC because I can do proper backups.)

Or it's simply a reward to those who do.

Pre-orders are advantageous for a company. You give them something, they give you something. You don't wanna give them that something? That's fine, but you're not entitled to be rewarded for it.

Then why not, at the very least, offer it to digital and physical preorders? You can always get a code from a physical preorder at one store or another. Not so much with digital.

How do you know its taken out? What if it was made to be a reward and was never part of the main game in the first place.

SO instead of having a physical copy of a game you're now getting a dynamic theme ONLY when buying digitally.
That's not a reward lol,it's a BS move to get people away from buying physical.

Sony only offers this one time per household unless you didn't buy the game and someone used your information, so no you really can't.

You can pre-order on the EU store without paying them first. Use or create your Uk account and get it free that way possibly. I still love my Uncharted 2 dynamic theme for PS3.

#Peace_Love_and_FPS# I dont know how it is where you live but in Portugal you can cancel the pre orders you want,i just canceled mine a few hours ago,got the e mail notification almost right way confirming the cancelation,no money was charged, last week i did the same thing for black ops 3,pre order canceled no questions asked no money charged,it´s your consumer right to cancel the orders you feel fit,i doubt that the Sony policy your talking about even exist...It says right there in the small print the money is only withdran from your account in a date closer to the realese of the product.

why not preorder when you're going to get it anyway and know that its a good game. it's understandable if it's for an unknown or unproven game but this is uncharted we're talking about. your logic of preordering doesn't apply here.

Am I really the only one not impressed by this? I think the best dynamic theme ever was on PS3. The Sega genesis dynamic theme that had an old school room with posters and a window open and a CRT TV with one of a few genesis games playing on the tv and it had the cartridge on the genesis and everything. NOW THAT was beautiful. This doesn't really entice me at all. I don't get what's so appealing about it at all.

Actually I bought a 2TB HDD with the savings from not paying taxes with some to spare, especially if you're into the 1yr disc coverage (I get lifetime warranty and theft proof! :D). I pay 15% on physical goods where I am though, but seeing as I almost always buy day 1 on PS4 it's worth it.

I pay for the game, the theme, the warranty, h*** even the effort to change the disc if you want to think of it that way, but no tax ;) and pay less!

Will never beat getting games at Best Buy with GCU which ends up coming up to 47.99+tax on new games + $10 extra reward certificate of u pre order + u build up points for even more reward certificates. That & the long list of advantages to having a game physically, u can always trade it in, lend it to a friend, simply just liking a display of all ur games with all the cases organized, etc etc

I wasn't aware of that program, that sounds like a great deal. For a while I did the Kmart Rewards program and everytime a bought a new game I would get at least 10 bucks off my next one, and in some cases 20 bucks...I bought way too many games back then though haha. Wish I had a Best Buy close so I could try that out...does that work online as well?

For the price they're charging for the special / collectors editions the theme should be thrown in. I'm going for stanard physical. I did preorder the special the other day but I didn't pay attention to the price, so when I seen it I cancelled it.

digital only? i wouldn't worry anyways, they put too much light/bright area on the theme, makes it for an annoying wallpaper. Good wallpapers themes don't have pure white/yellow areas. Unless this is just due to the capture of this video. i haven't seen image grabs of it.

That's most likely the capture. The area itself is a bit on the bright side but I believe that's a cool stylistic choice. Some people complain about ND games being too washed out looking but I think it gives the games a cohesive look & feel that ties everything together visually. Can't wait to see what other kinds of environments they have cooked up for us.
