Samus Aran, one of the most heroic women in video games, is not trans-gender, thanks.

A game with MC and Samus would be awesome!

On topic: No comment on such stupidity, who the hell even though she was a trans?

Quickstrike3523d ago

Moronic SJWs took a line out of context from a developer (or creator IDK really) which went something along the lines of "she started as a male then became female near the end, in a way, she's transgender"

What the quote meant was the character started as male but then development scrapped it and had Samus be a girl.

Similar to how Fang in FF XIII was a male at first during development then changed to female. Yet the romance between Fang and Vanille remained.

@Majin

All that article did was reinforce in my mind that it's impossible to keep up with all the different terms that people want to identify themselves as.

Who really cares? Samus is an awesome character...at least in most Metroid games. It was surprising to find out you were playing a woman back in the 80's, now she's grown into a fully fleshed out character who's sexuality was never really a concern or even approached in the games.

Why even respond to the lunacy of an attention-whore like Wu? It's like arguing with a rock...though rocks make much more sense.

The creators have always referred to her as a woman. You have no more burden of proof than that. Drop the mic.

Double_O_Revan3522d ago

Even in the games, the backstory provided during Metroid Prime & Zero Mission talked about her as a young GIRL when she was taken in by the Chozo.

TheFirstClassic3522d ago

That woman is really grasping straws.

Anthotis3523d ago (Edited 3523d ago )

I like how this article correctly refers to Wu as a man, rather than encouraging his(and other's like him) deranged fantasies.

You have infinitely more credibility in one article than all of polygon, kotaku, destructoid, rockpapershotgun, gamasutra, and all other SJW sites put together.

terminallyCapricious3523d ago

Not sure why they feel the need to push some agenda on these characters? Just play the damn game. Leave the politics at the door.

AnotherProGamer3522d ago

I think they are very insecure do it to feel more accepted, like "hey look your favorite character is like me, so you must accept me too"

rainslacker3522d ago

I guess they have to push the agenda on the characters because the developers aren't concerned with it, nor is it even part of the story.

Go figure. If something isn't addressed in a story, it means people can make the character into whatever they want for their own purposes and ignore the story and characters that the developers actually present.

It's kind of like fan fiction...with the exception that they don't try to hold onto the actual premise of the original story...so in other words, bad fan fiction.

Hoffmann3523d ago (Edited 3523d ago )

Did the creator http://transfuse.deviantart... of the fan art of Samus Aran allow you to use it here as a thumb for a totally useless article?

TorpeAlex3523d ago

Why is this downvoted? Give artists due credit instead of stealing their shit. The end.

JohnathanACE3523d ago

Didn't know I had to. Can I just add a link to deviant art for the credit?
