Kojima is an amazing and humble person. Cant wait to see what he will do next.

TwoForce3529d ago (Edited 3529d ago )

Yes, I agree. Also, i'm having fun with MGS 5. I got it early. So are you jealous ?😝 Oh, i think you should get Until Dawn. Trust me.

DarkOcelet3529d ago

Hehe, actually its been on the game store near my house for a week now. But i didnt get it yet :). Not enough money since i wanted to get it with Until Dawn and Mad Max.

SolidStoner3529d ago

"kept you waiting huh?"

*on a poster with half naked beautiful girl!

I bet they are many different variations.. I recommend to play stealthy and find all those girls :D

mafiahajeri3529d ago

Goty, it's so addictive and easy to pick up and play. I'm always like I'm going to go do this or that and then I say "just one more mission!" and end up playing for hours!

DEEBO3529d ago (Edited 3529d ago )

How can someone disagree with this comment.

This guy been hard at work on the same series with new ideas and better game play with a great story longer then some of you been on this earth.

If that doesn't say hall of fame game designer.

Next game is day one for me when kojima his next hit using the fox engine.

DarkOcelet3529d ago

Two disagree hmmm...

Must be Skullface and Zero.

PhucSeeker3529d ago (Edited 3529d ago )

1st, You're new here, i believe ?
2nd, Fox engine is Konami's property. He won't be using it anytime soon.

Magicite3529d ago

Imagine Kojima joining Naughty Dog, minds would blow!

Revengeance3529d ago

That wouldn't be fair to the gaming industry. That's like having Michael Jordan and Larry Bird on the same team lol.

divinealpha3529d ago

You would name a company that only releases games on one console. I have ps4, xbox and PC but dam man can't he just make for all platforms

Sashamaz3529d ago

Too many great minds in one place would not work well, you would have conflicting opinions, sometimes you just have to let people do their own thing which in the end leads to many great products.

Immorals3529d ago

Don't naughty dog operate on a level playing field amidst developers? I feel having a big name like Kojima working well in that environment.

I could be pleasantly surprised, however!

Kleptic3529d ago

sashamaz, that argument can go in either direction...

on one side; yeah, kojima 'made' everything metal gear (save rising, sort of)...and that a single person's brilliant vision is nothing if not consistent...but it drove konami crazy for better or for worse, as well as a lot of employees over the years if you believe the reports of vocal people that worked for him and left...

look at iD, similar situation in terms of a ground breaking developer...iD was at its best with multiple brilliant people, not just one...and when it came down to being only one (when Carmack was the only real leader left)...it fell apart...and iD struggled for relevency in a genre they single handedly created, let alone blew it wide open...

different devs, different games, i know...i'm just saying Kojima very much could team up with another group of pedigree devs, and do something spectacular...or it could also fall apart, too...no way to really know...ND seems to be a development environment where it just 'works', regardless of who is coming in and who is leaving...and in that sense, and i know we're only speculating for the hell of it, it may be one of the better group of people for him to group up with...

Humble?
All of his games show his name bazillion times. WE GET IT KOJIMA, YOU MADE THIS GAME!

mafiahajeri3529d ago

Lmao! My thoughts exactly. Before every mission and after.

n4rc3528d ago

lol.. thought the same thing.. humble is not a word i would use to describe him.. at all..

Nameless_Protagonist3529d ago (Edited 3529d ago )

Sony could contract Kojima to work on the next Syphon Filter.

Hideo Kojima : The Real Big Boss

Clown_Syndr0me3529d ago

Im getting a bit irritated with kojimas name and logo popping up at the end of every mission, its annoying seeing the credits all the time.
I mean come on, we KNOW this is your game you don't have to shove it in our faces every half an hour.

Malphite3529d ago (Edited 3529d ago )

Congrats. You've found a completely insignificant little detail to complain about. Maybe when you're done complaining you might actually think about why Hideo Kojima, a man that has passionately worked on a game series his whole life would do such a thing in the last entry of the franchise. Especially under the circumstances that he hass left the company he has been working for. Here is a hint: Maybe Konami's attempt to take the credit away from him by removing his name from the box art has something to do with it.

Summons753529d ago

His reasoning maybe a little backwards but I do agree. credits in the middle of the game does break the immersion and when you take two minutes to do a shot side-ops you get credits. Credits should be in the beginning of the game, and when you beat the story...or something you can choose to watch in the options menu. That annoyed me in Ground Zeroes too.

Malphite3529d ago

@ratrace: Because I find it disrespectful to complain about an artist putting credits on his product. Why would you complain about him being proud to give us such an amazing game?

boing13529d ago

I agree. Let's also put in credits every 20 minutes in every movie.
Joking aside, we all know Kojima made the game and that this is his swan song. But there is no need to rub it in everytime you finish a mission.
It's an overkill IMO. This actually makes me appreciate him less.

divinealpha3529d ago

How did you manage to damage control this your good

underwaves753529d ago

it's like it's in just this game.... it's in every one

Jayszen3528d ago

Malphite is absolutely correct - the credit overkill is Mr. Kojima's reaction to the manner in which Konami have behaved by erasing his credits on the company website and all publicity materials and covers. It is a minor discomfort to us fans and we should understand on this occasion.

MysticStrummer3529d ago

That's funny, but it almost has to be related to his falling out with Konami like Malphite said.

Clown_Syndr0me3529d ago

Yeah it probably is, but its almost like gloating, and I dont like gloaters. Im enjoying the game but I wish I could turn those credits off.

KurtRussell3529d ago

Yea that guy is full of himself, and the fanboys just fuel his ego. I mean his company is named Kojima Productions, who the hell does that. Compare him to someone like Gabe Newell who introduces himself by saying "Hi i'm Gabe and i work at Valve". Now that's humble.

solidboss073529d ago

Is that the Gabe who thought he was so important that he could command that PS3 should fail because it was crap??
Modest guy.

SaladSnake3529d ago

It's either that or 'Loading'. I know which I prefer.

TKCMuzzer3529d ago (Edited 3529d ago )

Er, just press the X button to skip them.

warczar3529d ago

You're so right, and that Michaelangelo lame should have felt like an arrogant prick when he chiseled his name into that David sculpture.

I'm sure you're so humble you NEVER would have put your name on one of the most respected video game franchises EVER.

It is not over for Kojima, we will see more, just not with konami

WitWolfy3529d ago

He must be excited to give them the finger and go do his own thing now.

ehm okeeey.
i guess i get it, but shouldn't be a difficulty setting be the solution and not a skip feature?

StoneTitan17d ago

That is the difficulty setting ^^

Knushwood Butt17d ago

Love the first game but the boss battles were crap, especially the Cliff ones. All Cliff encounters are exactly the same, only in different environments. Furthermore, you have to do the same thing 4 times! No different forms, no different patterns, nothing.

-Foxtrot17d ago

I mean that's a nice thought and all but if you are going to get the sequel to this I'm guessing you are going to be one of those fans who managed to do the boss battles in the original.

I don't think this is going to bring in new fans or ones who didn't like the first one in general.

I understand if it was a brand new story with new characters where you get a clean fresh slate to try and bring in everyone again but a straight up sequel...it has it's fans and I bet they managed to get through the first game no problem.

H917d ago

A weird idea for a sequel to have, since players need to beat the bosses of the first game, unless he plans on making the bosses more complicated this time around which I highly doubt. Honestly it's a horrible feature, for a game about the struggle of going around to deliver things, to let you skip fighting which is a part of the struggle.

Kojima Questions How Long His "Creativty" Will Last

Kojima: At this age, I can’t help but think about how much longer I’ll be able to stay “creative.” I want to keep going for the rest of my life, but is it 10 more years? 20? Every day feels like I’m racing against the clock. Even now, at 87, Ridley Scott is still active. And back when he was past 60—my current stage in life—he created the masterpiece “Gladiator.”

His games are boring and weird. Nobody cares.

@Cammers1995 It's very early, but I think you secured the "N4G's dumbest comment of 2025". Unbelievable thinking that there are people like Obscure commenting here.
