If the campaign does succeed, I hope that Nintendo gamers will put their money where their mouths are and buy the game en masse to prove to NOA localizing it was worthwhile.

I'll personally buy it day one.

At this point I am just happy we are seeing a release outside of Japan period.

While I would prefer physical, I will gladly buy this digitally if that is the only way to go.

I like that they are offering the first chapter or two for free so that people who aren't fans of the series can try a bit of the game to see if they like it.

Can't you derps get to your senses and ask Tecmo to take the franchise rights back .. USE YOUR MINDS FOR ONCE , they will have thousands of options to publish the Fatal Frame games without Nintendo , its unbelievable how Nintendo fanboys STILL justify this for their own good without even thinking how they keep digging their own grave for a niche survival horror franchise like this

wonderfulmonkeyman3594d ago

Sounds like you just want it on other systems, to me.

Shinox3594d ago

EVERYONE including me and my friends wants this to happen not just me , literally every person i met and discuss with them about this topic they despise the fact that this franchise is no longer exist on their system of choice , its almost like the franchise doesn't exist anymore in the eyes of people which makes so so mad on how Nintendo was the reason behind all this mess since FF4 and how it killed the FF community ( at least outside Japan ) , Nintendo isn't on the position to co-own this IP since they blindly loves to "collect" instead of "pushing" and delivering what's the industry lacks for .

wonderfulmonkeyman3594d ago (Edited 3594d ago )

Hate to break it to you, but those aren't real Fatal Frame fans.
They're console fanboys who care more about the system a third party game lands on, than the game itself.
I would have gotten this as long as it released on PS3 or PC, as well as Wii U, and as soon as PS4 or XBone justified me trading up, it would have been one of my first choices on those systems as well.

Fact: Fatal Frame being on Wii U doesn't make it bad, nor does it make Nintendo evil for supporting it.

Everyone needs to quit hating on Nintendo for doing what's needed to get good games.

ShaunCameron3594d ago

It's even unbelievable how Sony fanboys think they're entitled to an IP that barely sold anything on their platforms when they did have it. Tecmo has no obligation to keep FF on Sony's platform just because it may have started there.

iplay1up23593d ago (Edited 3593d ago )

Nintendo owns the majority of the rights. Techmo would have to buy out Nintendo. So what are you ranting about? will be picking this up day one.

I mean that was sort of obvious.
There was literally nothing on this franchise, then they ported Maiden of Black Water likely because it was the easier one to translate to modern devices being a Wii U title and all. And now we are getting a remaster of the 4th title. So it stands to reason that Maiden of Black Water was successful enough to start the whole process.

A remaster of the Fatal Frame 2 remake that was on Wii would be very welcome as well. That game is great. Scared the crap out of me the first time I played it as well lol.
