I’m going to start off my first title on this list which also happens to be one of my favorite games of all time. It’s one of two on this list that fits that bill alongside Breath of Fire III, Shovel Knight and more. Without further blabbering on my part, here are my Top 5 games that should have had sequels - but didn't!
Rogue Galaxy
Rogue Galaxy is an action RPG developed by Level-5 and was published by Sony in NA a little less than a decade ago. One thing to mention right now is that fans of Star Wars will feel right at home with this game as it has many parallels to the epic space opera. Being a Star Wars fan myself, I had no issues with it.
The Legend of Dragoon is considered by some gamers to be the best RPG ever. Now fans are begging for a Legends of Dragoon remake on the PS5.
There are a bunch of amazing video game genres. A genre that is loved by many is JRPGs. So, let's talk about 10 JRPGs that deserve a remake.
Throw in Arc the Lad, Grandia, Legend of Legaia, Galarians, Xenosaga, Ar Tonelico.
I would even settle for these games being brought to modern consoles.
Personally, I prefer to buy all the "remasters" of classic games on Switch so I can play them @work and on the bus.
I haven't played Parasite Eve since the 90's and I'd love to again!
Sony has rolled out The Legend of Dragoon update 1.000.004, which is a surprise patch for the RPG, and this manages to fix multiple issues.
With all these live service games that are really just a big gamble. Either they are positively accepted or really bad and ignored.
Sony has so many titles that no one ever heard of unless you’ve been a gamer since the 90’s.. Legend of Dragoon was quite the game. I know the turn based rpg is not as mainstream anymore but if they could just find the right team or hire the right people to remake it. It would be great.
Okami, I would love to see a full on sequel for next gen systems, I played a little of the DS Okami, couldn't get into it
