For me (Robin Ek, The Gaming Ground), it´s been a rather tormenting experience to see (and hear) what Konami has become over the years (let´s be honest. Konami is just a shadow of its former self nowadays). Show how exactly did Konami go from a much-beloved AAA game studio, to a sinking ship that´s been set on fire? Well, let´s find out shall we.

I mean… it was pretty underwhelming. They basically slapped on that overused “neon remaster” aesthetic that a bunch of older revivals have leaned on, cranked up the speed a bit, and called it a day. No real innovation, no fresh ideas, just a faster, flashier version of something we’ve already seen.
Hideo Kojima has revealed a new feature in Death Stranding 2, promising a more accessible experience for newcomers to action games.
ehm okeeey.
i guess i get it, but shouldn't be a difficulty setting be the solution and not a skip feature?
Love the first game but the boss battles were crap, especially the Cliff ones. All Cliff encounters are exactly the same, only in different environments. Furthermore, you have to do the same thing 4 times! No different forms, no different patterns, nothing.
I mean that's a nice thought and all but if you are going to get the sequel to this I'm guessing you are going to be one of those fans who managed to do the boss battles in the original.
I don't think this is going to bring in new fans or ones who didn't like the first one in general.
I understand if it was a brand new story with new characters where you get a clean fresh slate to try and bring in everyone again but a straight up sequel...it has it's fans and I bet they managed to get through the first game no problem.
A weird idea for a sequel to have, since players need to beat the bosses of the first game, unless he plans on making the bosses more complicated this time around which I highly doubt. Honestly it's a horrible feature, for a game about the struggle of going around to deliver things, to let you skip fighting which is a part of the struggle.
