Jeeeeeze, I know some people hate Nintendo and are insecure regarding their own maturity, but when you'll go all the way from Iowa to Boston to shoot up a championship convention filled with Nintendo fans, thats's when you're taking the console "wars" waaaaaay too literally.

There are some sick and twisted people out there...

Gameseeker_Frampt3181d ago

I think I'll include you in the group of "sick and twisted people out there." Nowhere does this article mention the motive behind this attempted attack yet that doesn't stop you from saying that it must be because "they hate Nintendo." The Pokemon World Championships involves both the video games AND the TCG which has nothing to do with Nintendo. The suspects were both invitees in the masters division of the Pokemon TCG so they are not some random Nintendo haters who just wanted to crash the championship like you think they are.

You are one sick fanboy to attempt to twist this serious situation to your own perverted agenda.

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory3181d ago

so you're saying these two guys just happen to stopped by the area and see Pokemon and decided it to be the place.

Gameseeker_Frampt3181d ago

@OtakuDJK1NG-Rory

That isn't close to what I said. Does the sentence "The suspects were both invitees in the masters division of the Pokemon TCG so they are not some random Nintendo haters who just wanted to crash the championship" mean something else that I don't know about and that is why you are confused? Here is the link to the list of the invitees to 2015 Pokemon TCG World Championships. The suspects - Kevin Norton and James Stumbo - are both clearly listed as invitees in the United States Masters division and is probably why the article states that they were going to attend the invite-only championship.

Nice personal attack without logical reasoning, there, buddy.
Just because they were invitees doesn't necessarily mean they were authentic fans.
Pretending to be fans to get into a convention just to shoot people is twisted logic, but these guys were obviously twisted people.

They showed up to it with two BIG guns and enough ammo to cause a massacre.
After bragging that they were "ready for Boston" on social media.

No one who actually loves Pokemon would come to a crowded convention dedicated to it, just to shoot their fellow fans.
No one sane who doesn't hold some sort of hatred would do that.

Unless these guys were gonna participate in a gang war, they were just that paranoid about Boston's crime rate, or they were gonna go hunting somewhere right afterwards (which their guns were not suited for, so that's out), there's no reason to think they had any reason other than some twisted hatred for the people at the convention, or the convention itself, to show up with two guns and several hundred rounds of ammo.

I know you've got your knickers in a twist when it comes to me, for whatever reason, but save it for someone willing to entertain your grudge.
This is not the place, and I've no further time.

"Just because they were invitees doesn't necessarily mean they were authentic fans.
Pretending to be fans to get into a convention just to shoot people is twisted logic."

You clearly have no idea of how the Pokemon World Championships work. You also are standing by your original statement that these were Sony or MS console fans who hated Nintendo so much that they wanted to attack Nintendo because this happened at a Pokemon event. Let us look at this. The suspects were not "pretending to be fans" when they each won their respective state qualifiers by beating every other Pokemon TCG player in the state tournament. Now playing and being very good at the Pokemon TCG does not mean you are a Nintendo fan, but since you stand by your automatic connection of Nintendo with Pokemon, that would mean that these were Nintendo fans who wanted to shoot up other Nintendo fans. Yet you still try to make it seem like this has something to do with the console wars.

While you are using this failed mass shooting to further your agenda in the console wars, the rest of the world is using it to justify their view on games and gamers. In their view, video games cause violence and anyone over the age of 12 who likes Pokemon is mentally disturbed. But go ahead, a good console war fanboy like yourself must never miss an opportunity to stick to those who prefer Sony or Microsoft over Nintendo.
