The 2015 PS4 exclusive games line-up has been the talk of the industry since the beginning of the year. PS4 is the leading home video game console. Part of the reason so many gamers sided with Sony’s game system is the lineup of 2015 PS4 exclusive games.

Here we go with your "sales" argument again. You see Spotie we were first discussing the appeal of games on each console. Snow said that PS4 has a lot of games with a high score of 90+ which Fro mentioned that nothing appealed to him on the PS4, despite all those games with 90+ metacritic.

Having a lot of games with a high metacritic doesn't mean much when those games are not appealing to some gamers. This is why I mentioned the WiiU, they have a lot more games with a high meta, but a lot of those games are not appealing (cartoony, same IP, etc, etc) to a lot of gamers. Has nothing to do with "teh sales".

Now if you want to talk about my reply to littlezizu, then that also has nothing to do with sales of the WiiU.

How is it that you all understand perfectly that not everyone will enjoy the games on PS4, but can't seem to figure out the same is true for the XB1's lineup?

Did it ever occur to you guys that the trend of having the same damn big IPs every year or every other year isn't gonna bring in too many more people than those who are already fans? If Halo, Forza, and Gears didn't pull me in 6 years ago, why would it work now?

But those are the most important things to Xbox, and to Xbox gamers. Well, what does that do for me? I guess I could always pull a typical Xbox fanboy and say, "Well, since the only games on Xbox are games I don't care about, the XB1 doesn't have any games."

PS4 is also the new come for Call of Duty meaning they will have exclusive rights to DLC and other early access to Black Ops 3. While it’s not a fill game and wouldn’t have been worthy of adding to our top 2015 PS4 exclusive games list it is still super cool information for all the PS4 fans out there.

Lol, it was once called bad for the industry when someone else had those rights, and no one cares about these games anymore, yet now its on Mighty Sony, its fantastic, wonderful, amazing, out of this world..... To be fair, both X1 and PS4 has games that appeal to all, but it feels like this gen has not gotten its swing yet, and we have yet to see close to the best yet....

MS has an amazing holiday line-up for existing and previous xbox fans, that can't be argued, but what lead are they taking.

Sales: We know that's not going to happen, and at best they can hope to win NDP for the holiday season, which would be good for them. The problem is they likely have no price drop this year, meanwhile the PS4 can very well receive one. Also the PS4 has pretty much every big 3rd party game on deck with exclusive DLC, and console bundles which as we've seen several times sells plenty of PS4's. They already have MGSV bundle for September, and Star Wars Battlefront bundle for November, I'm assuming Uncharted Collection + TLoUs bundle for October, and COD, Battlefront, AC: S all get exclusive / timed content. If the PS4 has a price cut, then it only makes winning NPD that much more of a challenge for XBO, because WW PS4 is going to take it regardless.

AAA Exclusives Available on console: This I would agree with this to an extent. I'm not the biggest fan of the Xbox big 4 (Forza, Fable, Gears, Halo). I love Gears, I like Forza, I'm not a fan of Halo, I don't care about Fable at all (2016 is much better for me). But for those who enjoyed those games on 360, this is a great line-up for them. Sony's A teams have yet to do anything big for the PS4 (well sparingly they do) and won't until 2016. So as far as fan service I give it to MS on getting their games out faster.

But once again what are they winning?

Don't see why I would get an Xbox One when those exclusives don't interest one bit and that the third-party titles, like MGSV, run better on PS4.

We have a lot of good third-party shooters coming out this year (Battlefront, Rainbow Six, Just Cause 3, etc. (I guess you could say Fallout 4)), I don't need my console of choice to be filled with more. I like diversity and originality. If that's all you play, that's good, but we're not all Americans.

This isn't PS4 at its best but those are some decent games if all you've got is a PS4.

I would only play Bloodborne on that list.

Persona hasn't got a release date yet but I'd give that a shot too even though it isn't my favorite genre.

If you love JRPG's with a high emphasis on drama with that unique Japanese story telling then Persona is definitely a game you want to try. The reason why I love it is they are usually always set in present day which is refreshing from other jrpg/RPG games.

The last Persona game is one of my all time favorites.

Understandable. The Persona games are not for everyone. I remember playing part 4 and it took what seemed to be an hour until actual combat started. That's how heavy the drama and story telling is.

It's hard at the moment to top anything over Bloodborn. I finished that game and I am still playing the chalice dungeons.

To qualify bloodborne as 'decent' is telling a lot about people trying to downplay PS4 games while it's actually the best game of this generation so far IMO.
I'm not into FPS but I'm sure many 'western' gamers find planetside 2 to be a quality game and the Order 1886 and Until Dawn are other new ips AAA. Very happy about GOW R and Drake collection or Helldivers or Tearaway Unfolded I'm sure are seen as quality games by 'western gamers'. I'm not into making fanboy wars lists people can easily find on the Internet.

Its not about trolling, if your a real gamer, and not some brand loyalist, the smart thing to do is to get Xbox One now while its hot and inexpensive, play its rather robust list of quality exclusives, and wait for Sony to get in their stride later on after they have built their games library and perhaps dropped the price of the console. At this point there is literally no reason to buy that console, nothing is happening on it.

@sactlast Those games are niche weird low budget games, the equivalent of XBLArcade games last gen. PS4 has one decent next gen AAA title Infamous, the other two were flops.

@jb227 metacritics are comprised of scores provided by the gaming media, they are pretty much more in the bag for Sony now than ever, especially due to the fact that a majority of gamers own PS4s and it would be bad business for these sites to rate PS4 exclusives honestly. Doing so would be to point out that Xbox One, the console most of their readers hate, has more great exclusives than PS4, so the sites simply lie and uprate games like bloodbourn just to keep things even. They cant have 4 highly rated exclusives on XBO and only 1 on PS4, so they lie, its just that simple.

Umm, Until Dawn happens in a COUPLE DAYS.

Nothing's happened on XBox since Sunset Overdrive bombed, Forza Horizon2 came in second to Driveclub at retail and games like Ryse went to PC. Congrats on getting Warframe a year later though. Maybe someday you'll get a licensed MLB game again too. Robust!

Kinda confused at the ordering of the list...seems like Bloodborne should have been higher, for example.

You know you're screwed when your competitor is destroying you by selling mostly 3rd party games while the big exclusives haven't even come out yet.

Xbox would need to have 3 exclusives of the same quality as The last of Us to even make a dent into Playstation's lead this gen.

Why didn't Sony make sure they had a big exclusive for the holiday? It's just not smart, well they did have uncharted 4 but delayed it. This list just isn't appealing what do ever.

sigh....an article on PS4 exclusivity and 6 of the titles you don't need a PS4 to play. Some of the titles might not even ship this year. This is just as bad as the XB1 exclusive articles. I own the console too so is it really that hard to admit, with UC4's delay, that this year's crop of PS4 exclusives could be considered disappointing to some people?

If that list is why people buy the PS4 it explains the comments on n4g. Most of those games could just as easily be mobile games. If you bought "the most powerful console in the world" for that you're obviously confused in general. Especially given the hatred so many"hardcore" PlayStation fans mobile.

Not a very strong lineup, but Uncharted is early next year so that takes some of the sting away. Plus Bloodborne is a legit GOTY contender, so it isn't a completely wasted year.
