Dying Light has sold 5 million copies; The Following DLC to be 10+ hours long

Techland has revealed brand new details on Dying Light's upcoming expansion pack 'The Following', confirming that the DLC will introduce a brand new campaign and an additional 10+ hours of gameplay.

Completing everything in the DLC may even take some players up to 20 hours, the developer says.

The base game, meanwhile, has already sold over 5 million units since launching on PS4, Xbox One and PC in January, a milestone which Techland describes as a "tremendous success".

The only problem I had with this game was it pushed co-op, and in ultimately doing so, broke the experience. The game was was hella fun but became far too easy if a higher leveled friend joined ya. They could backtrack to complete missions they previously did with you but had overpowered weapons and thus DL became a running sim. I had to play SP by my lonesome and pack away any weapons my friends insisted I take. It was real fun having to run away from the virals at night, not slaughter 20 of 'em at a time. I hope the expansion addresses it.

I really gotta give Bloodbourne another shot.... played the first half hour... and it just didn't do it for me. Now it's just collecting dust.

Everyone got caught by surprise on how this game was actually good. Kudos to them though and let this be a lesson to a lot of developers out there on how to do DlC. The game was a blast and had a lot of content in it.

I'm dying to get this and likely will after I finish Dragon Age: Inquisition. How does it compare to Dead Island as far as difficulty? Is it like Dead Island in the same aspect that makes it occasionally frustrating but still doable?

It's far better than dead island. I'd say its a little more difficult due to zombies specifically during the night times, but as you progress through the game it becomes easier to play through the night. In terms of if its like dead island i'd say yes, but its improved drastically from combat, movement, gameplay etc. I'd definitely recommend the game 9/10 in my opinion.
