Falcom has opened the official website and released the first screenshots of its newly announced The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC Evolution, due out for PS Vita in Japan this December.

Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC is a game that meshes the feeling of a traditional JRPG, such as the long-winded exposition, with some of the modern systems of more contemporary JRPGs. It still feels a little bit like a game out of time but that’s understandable given that the game was originally released in 2006.
Not that most of that matters when the underlying game is enjoyable like Trails. A strategic and deep combat system and an interesting story are the best selling points of the game. These aspects make for an easily recommendable game. Just don’t go in expecting a short or easy game experience.
Jae Lee writes: It was about four long years ago that I put down my PSP after having completed the first chapter of the Trails in the Sky series.
Even though I loved the game, the cliffhanger ending was a bit infuriating to say the least, and I began my wait for the sequel so that I might see the conclusion to the story.
Weeks turned into months and months into years, as it started to feel as though I would never be able to see ending to this fantastic series. When it was finally released some four years later, I really couldn’t believe it until I loaded up the game for the first time.
In fact, the localization process of this particular title was fraught with so many trials and tribulations that it’s not an exaggeration to say that it’s a small miracle that it exists at all.
With that in mind, let’s just say that the game had a lot of expectations to live up to, and after bidding farewell to Estelle and company for the last time, I can say with confidence that it has met almost all of them.
GS:" The second entry of the The Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky series has yet to be released in North America and Europe but Japanese players have been able to enjoy the game for a few years already. And soon enough they will be able to enjoy an updated PlayStation Vita port of the game called Trails In The Sky Second Chapter Evolution. The new version of the game will come with a variety of enhancements that will make the experience more enjoyable. If you have access to the Japanese PlayStation Store, you will be happy to know that you can try out the game right now."
