Xbox One’s upcoming UI overhaul looked even better at Gamescom 2015

If you haven’t been following the news, Microsoft revealed at E3 2015 a few months ago the new UI coming to Xbox One. The company showed it off for the first time then, and it looks like it has gotten even better.

The story is too old to be commented.

And for those of us in the preview program we can get this in September! Cannot wait, the new UI looks so sleek and clean and have you seen how fast it is? Damn

And yet a few will still complain about something...

christocolus1171d ago (Edited 1171d ago )

Definitely.even those who dont own the console will find something to whine about too. lol

Microsoft does have the tendency to improve and overhaul their UI for Xbox. The 360's launch UI is nothing like it is today.

The PS3's launch interface is pretty much similar to what it is today.

dont mind those people

their just pr employees not real gamers

I just hope the store comes with and Indie Crap section. I hate having to scroll through these to get to actual games that i may purchase. I think the library is large enough for a little segregation.

That being said, I cannot wait till Sept to try out the new UI. Being a Day 1'er let's you appreciate the growth of the console and just like the 360, the X1 hasn't disappointed yet.

Do you know if the new OS speeds up the lengthy install-time for games?

MeliMel1171d ago (Edited 1171d ago )

I dont think the UI has anything to do with install times.

what I do wanna know guys in preview. Is if the new UI also come with a new store. I dont like the Xbox store as is on Xbox One.

lemoncake1171d ago

Xbox downloads updates to the game while installing, i don't want to play outdated versions of games so doesn't bother me waiting that bit extra. If you cannot wait and don't mind playing unpatched games you just sign out and install, problem solved. Non issue when you realise why it is how it is and I wouldn't want the game to start downloading patches after installing cause that would take even longer.

Isn't the new UI built on-top of Windows 10 for Xbox One?

n4rc1171d ago

i remember reading it was some weird issue with early games that they have corrected..

dont buy many games on disk but batman installed pretty quickly.. not like ryse on launch... that took forever lol

I don't own an xbone (yet), but that new UI does look very snazzy...good job.

bleedsoe9mm1171d ago (Edited 1171d ago )

i think i'm the only one that likes the current UI , but i'm glad ms is always working to improve things

StrayaKNT1171d ago

I love it but this looks better obviously.

darren_poolies1171d ago

I remember playing on my flatmates X1 a couple months ago and I honestly thought it was a bit of a clusterf*ck, it was hard to find anything.

WellyUK1171d ago

It's horrible as it is currently there is just things all over the shop on it, really bad IMO, this looks much better to me.

t-hall7851170d ago

I love it too. I actually always hated when microsoft changed the ui's on the 360 but eventually learned to appreciate why they did. hopefully they don't let me down with this one.
