Dark Souls 3 is familiar, and that's fine | Eurogamer

Eurogamer:

Hidetaka Miyazaki isn't anything like I pictured him. I'm not really sure what I expected, but the image I had conjured up, of a quiet, brooding auteur responsible for the creation of nightmarish visions like the Gaping Dragon and Quelaag and Ebrietas, was far from the grinning figure who stands at the front of the room for our hands-off demo, bright-eyed, animated, and joking about PC malfunctions and Legolas from The Lord of the Rings.

Dark Souls 3 isn't the last game in the series but that it will mark "a turning point"

It's already my most anticipated game. And I cant wait to see what the new stances provide for PvP especially. Its astonishing what these guys have been able to do year after year. I can't get enough.

My only concern is PvP. PLEASE allow us to turn on invasions from the beginning somehow. And let us fight anywhere in the game.

No complaint as long as it Plays similarly to Bloodborne, which is one of my favorite games so far this generation, I'll be thrill and a day one purchase for me.

I think we will see alot of BB's influence. I just love that it's getting the BB detail, the love and care in its aesthetics. SotFS was pretty at 1080, but completely lacked that level of deatail. It helps to create the vision that exists in Miyazaki's head.

Thats why I'd love a Demon Souls and Dark Souls remaster, allowing him to use today's tech to see his initial vision brought to glorious life. But I'm torn, b/c that time could be spent making Demon Souls 2, BB2, or a new IP (thought I don't think we will ever see the 1st 2, being exclusives published by Sony).

Sony still owns Demon Souls as you say but it would feel different if Sony to have some other studio making it instead of FromSoftware as it won't feel the same. Hope to see a Demon Souls down the road too after Dark Souls 3 fro Fromsoftware. fingers crossed.

I would expect ds3 detail to be greater than bloodborne because it's getting a pc release. Also, I expect better load times and frame rates (still talking pc of course) :-)

All the bosses are only from Dark Souls. No Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring, or Demon Souls

These games bore me to tears. I don’t mind the difficulty it’s just the constant killing the same enemies over every time you rest that makes it so monotonous

You open up a lot of shortcuts so you can skip many enemies. But if I don’t like games I don’t buy them.
