It's one of the most profound gaming experience I have ever had.
I recommend you play through the entire game in one sitting.

It was very touching & emotional.

xHeavYx3576d ago

To me is a very relaxing game.

that moment when you play and realize that certain thing (everyone that played it knows what i mean) almost blew my mind.

F... GENIUS

It's a great game. I got split from the person I journeyed the whole game with at almost the end. I bleeped and beeped like crazy for over ten minutes looking/waiting for that person to show up and join me in the ending, but that person never came. In defeat, I carried on to the end, only to find that person waiting for me.

That feeling blew my mind.

(Does anyone know how to get this if you've purchased the PS3 version at launch? I can't find a download link, and it says not available for purchase.)

I am so glad I got the Journey Collection on the PS3 a while back. Played through all three games on one long weekend (three days), one game each day. Journey was most definitely the highlight of that weekend. It was such a riveting and powerful journey (sorry about that lol), and I am glad to have been apart of it. I even got some of my friends too play Journey all the way through. While my friends (3 in total) were gaming on my PC in the other room, I took out one guy each time in the living room to experience a playthrough of Journey.

One of the best gaming experiences I had on PS3 was with this game. I played through the adventure beginning to end multiple times. One of my most satisfying gaming moments was playing this beginning to end with a random companion and then earning the trophy for that achievement. What a game!!!

I'm part Irish and I have a problem with your blatant disregard for my heritage. Be more considerate.

A lot of people play this while high or drunk, and claim it to be a profound emotional experience. These people are emotionally stunted. It's boring, and i wouldn't even qualify it as a game. It's a walking simulator.

@DoodleBugger

What a load of rubbish. I don't smoke or drink.

Sevir3576d ago

Most agree journey is awesome! And the minority need more to stimulate them, ie guns, blood, swearing bombastic action...

For those that feel that way, what this game truely is, is lost on you. But to say everyone who've played and enjoyed it and came away feeling it was profound and emotional are high? You've seriously gotta be on so.e sort of narcotic to say such a thing. Just say it's boring and you didn't get it and it's not for you. No need to bash. It a simple game but what it delivers is complex and thematically not everyone will understand and that's ok.

I'm definitely getting this version
on PS4 to play again. Journey is an amazing game.

Christopher3576d ago

I'm sorry you missed out on a pretty nice experience.

If you do try it again, try playing through the very end. Something happens, if you pay attention, that really brings home the whole experience and makes you rethink the whole thing.

Just finished the game again, 60FPS seriously gave the scenery a new vibe altogether, free flowing cloak and scarf alike just felt awesome, only took two hours but hey, it was cross buy!

starchild3576d ago

I like short games sometimes. If every game was a 200-hour monster like The Witcher 3 I wouldn't get to play through very many games each year. Each game is unique and I want to have the time to really experience them. Shorter games allow me the opportunity to experience more of these worlds.

PaleMoonDeath3576d ago

After a killing spree on BloodBorne, I kind of needed this, hell I just painted parts of my room red hahaha!

Buy this game newcomers, it's like a cigarette after a good night with the love of your life.

sovkhan3576d ago

One of my best ever experience on the ps3, will certainly try the ps4 version.

kenwonobi3576d ago

Some games are here to just be short sweet good experiences. This is one of them.
