The Evolution of Elena from Uncharted

When Uncharted was originally unveiled, Elena, one of the franchise’s main characters, was a brunette. The developers then decided she should be a blonde and her face has evolved throughout each game in the Uncharted series. Below you can see the evolution of Elena from all four games, and the difference is quite apparent.

I never got around to playing Uncharted 3 because of my PS3 YLODing on me, but did Elena really have that Leno chin? Or maybe I'm just going crazy looking at these pictures.

This picture of UC3 Elena isnt even that bad compared to some in game angles. UC3 Elena is actually the worst modeled in my opinion, and sometimes flat out doesnt even look like it is her.

Her UC4 model is amazing, and her expression, so sad = /

She must have gotten some severe plastic surgery between UC2 and UC3. The character model looked awful in UC3.

Man, Fours Elena looks insanely good. If anyone is going to cross the Uncanny Valley it's Naughty Dog or Quantic Dream. Her expression and furrowed brow is very believable.

Ewww, don't like Threes. Skin tone is all wrong. I'm not sure if these shots are indicative of what we saw in the game because I think I like 1 then 2 then 3 for the original trilogy but no one can deny the graphics improved on every game.

Four is certainly leagues ahead as to be expected. I think we are in for a visual treat. Now here's hoping Chloe and her gorgeous eyes and ample booty make an appearance. C'mon, it's not just me.

agreed. Chloe needs to have her ample booty improved for a new generation of consoles, and refined by the masters of the medium.

I'd love a very dramatic video showing these guys hard at work at a light table, sketching, and stressing, pulling their hair out, and throwing a can of whatever into a nearby bin, it missing and landing in a small pile of similarly crumpled cans.

They then show a group of people in a room, a dry erase marker in hand, with advanced arithmetic scrawled all over the board as to exactly how they will proceed with the curvature of Chloe's bum. They are all arguing, and shouting, some are taking notes, others leave this room to go on a smoke break. All of this, while dramatic music plays in the background, and many flashing shots shown in between.

The stakes are high, and with Miranda prancing around in Mass Effect, it's time Chloe reclaim her throne.

Yeah looks very TLOU-y imo, but she looks really realistic.

Yeh, it is not what was in game, the UC1 Elena actually had a more plastic look, as did all the characters. Still looked good, but the jump from 1 to 2 was absurd. As is the jump from 3 to 4, in more ways then just graphics. Their animation system makes every other game look pathetic.

Been looking for footage/pictures back from pre-release footage from the original Uncharted when Elena originally had glasses and looked like a librarian. Footage was of when she and Drake had to jump from the plane after receiving cannon fire. That's what I really wanted to compare from and was expecting to finally see in this article.

Does anyone have any links? Can't find anything ANYWHERE! Am I the only one that remembers? Was it all in my head???

However she was never shown with that model to my knowledge, there was a trailer where she looked like the UC1 model you know, just with brown hair cannot find it anymore though. A few images are still floating around.

Don't be a dick. Anyway, I think they had it right with Uncharted 2. Uncharted 3's elena was kinda off, you had to really get used to her visually.
