During the hustle and bustle of last week's E3 show, GameSpy was fortunate enough to squeeze some time in with Thomas Simon, Lead Designer on upcoming aerial shooter HAWX. Specifically, they had some lingering questions after their hands-on time with the multiplayer, so they asked Mr. Simon about a few things that they noticed and some that seemed noticeably absent. Of course, the biggest question on everyone's mind seems to be, "what does HAWX actually stand for?"
While GameSpy didn't have to go to E3 to find out that it means High Altitude Warfare Experimental squadron, the additional hands-on time didn't hurt, because HAWX looks like it could easily contend with current air superiority overlord Ace Combat.
Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. was a series that showed promise, but after 2010's Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2, all we have is backwards compatibility.
I remember buying Hawx2 back on PS3 after Microsoft bought exclusivity of Ace Combat6.
So to fill that dog fighting space I bought Hawx2, a very basic game that only had a gimmick of evasion that was overused if I remember correctly. I never even finished the game and still own it and my super slim ps3 so who knows I might pop it in one day and see if I can feel the need, I he need for speed.
