EB: I was most impressed with the 3.5″ Data Bank Expansion Dock for the Xbox One, which will allow you to install an additional 3.5″ HDD for the Xbox One without taking apart the console itself. The $39.99 device seamlessly integrates with the Xbox One’s form factor, and connects to the back of the console using a USB port. What makes this dock so much more less cumbersome than say even the one for the PS4 is the fact that you don’t have to take apart your existing Xbox One to gain additional storage.
Leading console accessories manufacturer Nyko have today announced the release of the Data Bank for Xbox One, a sleek, streamlined hard drive enclosure that affixes to the top of the console and expands data storage with any 3.5” hard drive.
I'll pass. There is a better one on the market for the Xbox One if anyone is interested. Better aesthetics at least. I prefer to just plug and play with the externals.
This accessory is useless as Ext HDD pretty much made this pointless just like those silly ext fans that NyKo ate trying to sell.
The Xbox One Data Bank, which makes 3.5-inch hard drives compatible with the console, has gotten an updated release date
EB: Nyko’s Type Pad for the Xbox One is now available to purchase for $34.99. It offers two needed features for a game controller type pad, which are a “.com” button, and a joystick nub for easy navigation.
The Type Pad also has a built-in 3.5mm headphone jack, so it can double as a 3rd party headphone adapter too. You can find the Type Pad at GameStop, Amazon, or the Nyko online store today for as low as $29.99.
