Hopefully they don't punish you for killing people, which is the funnest part of being a HITMAN.

Blood Money was a classic example of devs making a great game, then destroying it with a horrible rewards system.

Often in older Hitman games, one innocent and you're alright; two and it's definitely no Silent Assassin rating. That's always been the core of Classic Hitman. You either go loud or go quiet. All Absolution did was choke you out of creativity.

So why were you penalized for shooting someone with a silenced pistol.

N0TaB0T3234d ago (Edited 3234d ago )

Because Silent Assassin has some creative wiggle room. You can really break the conventions of your kills if you pay close enough attention. You can increase the brutality, albeit in a very short bursts. Also shooting non-targets is the antithesis of being a skilled assassin. So it makes sense that the game punishes you, even though it's still very possible to achieve silent assassin. I killed three targets with the Colt Magnum, the loudest pistol, and still got silent assassin.

What's funny about Hitman 2 and Hitman Contracts is there's no real bullet drop, you can snipe someone with a pistol even the crappiest handgun can nail a long range shot. I completed "Deadly Cargo" using Hitgod47 (youtuber) methods. I recommend their channel if you want to learn the dirtiest exploits through pure gameplay.

Good...because the last Hitman game felt...well.....less like Hitman

Let's just wait and see before getting your hopes up, because things can very quickly turn ugly these days.

so many good games this year still, my body is ready for more hitman.

Sounds like they are doing it right with this Hitman, i'm in. The last Hitman was a hit with critics but i'd prefer a more sandbox style.

Did they say exclusive contracts on PS4?

I'm expecting good visuals and a fun game. Hooray games!

Why have they made those nice trademark pistols black??? Hope this gets a physical release.. 👍

poppinslops3235d ago

His original Silverballers are probably unlockable... or dlc.

Whilst a physical release would be nice, the 'episodic' contracts are still going to need to be downloaded... that said, they'll probably release a physical 'GotY' edition at some point.

I'm (pleasantly) suprised to hear it's a sequel to Absolution - I figured it was a reboot, since 47 looks younger and is working with Diana and the Agency... also, the simple 'Hitman' title reminded me of the 'Tomb Raider' reboot.

'Bloodmoney' is still one of my all-time faves... I'm really looking foward to seeing this one in action.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing lol although I just read that there gonna release a disc version, which is nice :-D

It’s the 25th anniversary this year?

I’d have assumed it would have gotten something like a remastered trilogy of the original games or a remake of the first game. Something for a 25th celebration.

A Deep Dive On all Things Hitman With The Voices Behind Agent 47 And Diana Burnwood

From PSU: "Ten years ago, the Hitman franchise was in a transitory state. Blood Money had become something of a classic and with Hitman Absolution there was a clear decision to push IO Interactive’s assassination sim series to a whole new level. That experimental, often divisive, entry turned out to be pivotal in what would follow.

Elements of Absolution, such as its accessibility and player-created content, would be mixed with the more traditional Hitman games’ sense of murderous creativity to birth the Hitman Trilogy 0f 2016-2021. A series that would take its creators on a turbulent journey of publisher changes, independence, and the eventual triumph of being handed the tantalizing 007 license."
