‘Howedes has rejected two offers’

Benedikt Howedes has turned down two offers from abroad to remain at Schalke, according to the club's general manager Horst Heldt.

The centre-back, 27, has been linked with Manchester United in recent weeks, while his Germany team-mate Mesut Ozil backed him to be a success if he moved England.
