Short Pause: "Here in the Short Pause offices, we’ve been playing Destiny’s House of Wolves expansion for weeks now, and we’re finally ready to deliver our verdict! Is the House of Wolves add-on worth your time and effort? Read on to find out"
Here, Twinfinite is writing that Destiny, despite being a T rated franchise, is full of dark and brooding moments that showcase the best of the team's narrative potential. They further write that, while Destiny 2 has not delivered as much as it should have on this front, Forsaken appears to be the big step that it needs to return to its greatest moments.
Gazette gaming columnist Jake Magee's lack of skill at Destiny is what made going flawless in Trials of Osiris more than a year ago taste so sweet. The feeling wasn't as great when he did the same in Destiny 2 last week, he writes.
Destiny 2 is the franchise at its best. With an engaging story, more cooperative activities and better competitive play, Destiny has never felt tighter, more satisfying or more addicting, Gazette gaming columnist Jake Magee writes.
I know Destiny may be the generations biggest "Love It or Hate It" game, but I'm definitely in the former camp. I've spent a ridiculous amount of time playing that game. Yes, the story is a total train wreck, and Peter Dinklage was clearly phoning it in. Despite those universally panned aspects of the game, I'm still impressed with its solid gameplay mechanics, strike mission, raids, and the newly added Prison of Elders. Really looking forward to see what "The Taken King" will do to raise the stakes. Playing this game with friends is the main reasons we keep playing this game many nights a week.
Till they put matchmaking across the board I'm still discontent
Loved Base game... even enjoyed Dark Below. Adding modifiers to public events and chaining them together for pve endgame on HoW? Doubt I'll be spending any more money on destiny content.
I love Prison of Elders, don't get me wrong, but it too has it's faults. Like Qodron, I'm always willing to grind through it the way it was intended, but if it's on a 32 or 34, no one wants to play it as it was intended. If you don't have a gjallahorn, like myself, everyone will leave your fireteam, or won't join you. Skolas, even at level 34, my two other teammates both had gjallahorn, I had a maxed Hunger of Crota (365), and we still couldn't beat this guy. Tra'aug is the same way. Beatable, yes, but it shouldn't take that freaking long.
My other personal gripe is how easy it is to reach the max level now. It helps with the grind, sure, but it took me three weeks to max all of my characters. Now I feel like there's no real point to playing the game. Only reason I still play it is for the co-op with friends, and the fact that I still don't have a gjallahorn. I feel like I might stop playing once I get my gjallahorn.
