Brutalgamer.com uses Metal Gear Solid 4 as the example of just how patronized us gamers are today.

"I appreciate the technical masterpiece and gripping story and the game is by no means bad but I think that ideally Hideo Kojima would sit and play the game for every owner. He wants to play the game the way he envisaged with every experience being what he imagines down to the very footstep and gunshot. This is fine in theory, and works great for films but is not what is needed in video games. I think he just needs to credit us gamers with a little bit more intelligence"
