As gamers get older, I'd expect games to get into the mainstream as much as rock 'n roll has – and the change is already beginning. So many people play them now, it's not even surprising anymore across all demographics. There'll still be vocal opponents of it, but I doubt that the current atmosphere will stay unchanged for long.

So much this. We all spent so long proving (quite successfully) that video games don't make people worse IRL in regards to violence. Then a large number of gamers were so happy to pretend that gaming made people horrible sexist, racist transphobic monsters IRL instead.

If a person is mental enough, they may still kill without any form of violent media directly influencing them. The only thing that may be influenced is the way they carry out the killings and how they cover them up.

Golden Axe is a great game I enjoyed it on the SMS, Genesis and in the arcade. Great game but it truly was a quarter eater back in the day. I wish Sega could get the rights to the arcade port of Moonwalker another great arcade game I enjoyed. Collect so many monkeys and become Robo Michael lol.
