The morality of GTAV (or: Why I need therapy)

Radey writes for Player Attack: One of the biggest tragedies of Grand Theft Auto V is how little its moralities are spoken on. The characters are reprobates, the actions amoral in the best case and utterly reprehensible in the worst. They are monsters of the most depraved calibre, and with a single document, I wondered if I shouldn't be among them.

I agree with the Author, its a disgusting game, which is why I never played it. Its just so off, there really are NO GOOD GUYS in GTV 5.

Anybody who lets a video game question their sanity shouldn't be playing video games at all. Or watching movies. Or reading books. Or listening to music. They should straight be getting therapy and nothing else.

Seriously that's a horrible delusion.

If you find it deplorable that's fine, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is. On the deeper side of it all GTAV is about a family man fighting to keep them together while struggling with his own boredom after retirement, a young man who has no future fighting to obtain something more from his life, and a fractured man who has no hope at all and doesn't care.

These people aren't good guys, no, but they weren't meant to be. That's part of the draw to GTA.

when you can't separate a work of art/fiction from reality it is time you put your controller down and head on out into the wild and reflect on life.

I've had enough of these "moral crusaders" being "outraged" and having these 1st world problems to deal with and can't just have a breather and enjoy the game for what it is worth.
