PSGamer: A combination of RPG, strategy and top-down exploration games, The Escapists hides a surprising amount of depth under its cutesy, pixel art exterior. While the premise of escaping incarceration might sound exciting, the reality of prison routine hog-ties the games most promising features. The Escapists is more Prison Break than The Great Escape but offers a decent challenge that requires plenty of thought and will endear itself to those who have the patience for it.
