Sayonara Umihara Kawase+ is an odd animal. It released without much fanfare, landing a spot on PSN and even stranger, under a different title than its English name, Yumi’s Odd Odyssey. The game’s presentation is fairly simplistic and downright minimal, it looks very much like a budget title which accomplishes the bare minimum as far as aesthetics go. You’re presented with a ‘map’ of numbered levels with alternating paths on the main screen, because you’re able to choose more than one exit to complete each stage, and that’s about it.
Umihara Kawase's release seemed to be happening sooner than expected, with its return to Steam dated for January 28. Of course that was yesterday and tragically Umihara Kawase remained nowhere to be found.
Sayonara Umihara Kawase Plus has been removed from both Steam and the PlayStation Store in certain regions.
Sayonara UmiharaKawase+ is the third (and possibly final) entry in a long-running series that first debuted in 1994 on the Super Famicom.
