This year will see the launch of another entry in Nintendo's long-running space battle series, Star Fox. It's an indication of how popular the franchise is with fans that last year's relatively detail-free E3 announcement was one of the biggest stories of the entire event, and while Nintendo is doing a commendable job of keeping its cards close to its chest about this all-new Wii U instalment, that has done little to dampen the enthusiasm of dedicated followers of Fox McCloud.
BLG writes: "The original titles are classics with near-infinite replayability. Later releases, however, have stumbled. Usually, they’re hampered by attempted innovation with new control schemes or gimmicks. Still, there’s a lot to enjoy with the beloved Nintendo franchise. To celebrate, we’re going to rank the best Star Fox games in the franchise. To come up with the order, we’re mixing in a little bit of Metacritic ranking and author opinion."
BLG writes: "While it didn’t sell as well as the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo 3DS was nonetheless a wonderful system. And, while this may be a hot take, it’s easily my favorite handheld. Even more than a decade removed from launch, the system’s library has so many titles that feel as fresh today as they did back at release. While it was hard to narrow down, these 30 Nintendo 3DS games are emblematic of the system’s success."
Star Fox 64 3D, for the most part, focuses on improving the original in areas that matter, and the end result is worth respecting.
They need to release a new one and not screw around with motion controls, and actually put some challenge into it and not make it too much of a kids game where it's too easy.
