i think that message comes up when you try to manual save while its auto saving. that, and while you boss fighting lol.

Even if it doesnt excuse such bugs , as a rule of thumb in those wrpgs with choices , always have multiple saves for a same party or defining moment

Totally agree. The problem here is that the bug essentially doesn't let you save at all if you've got the "Instant On" function activated.

The only time I see this message is when I try saving straight after saving to another slot , I always double slot save after a few mishaps in the past.

I had that "You cannot save right now" message this morning, I literally walked 2 steps then I could save it. I was like WTF?

I have seen that when I'm trying to save in the middle of a fight. That's really ony the time it ever tells me I cannot save right now which makes sense in case I just die right after wards. I always thought that was the case, not that it's a bug.

I can't stress enough, you really have to manually save a lot. Had a few glitches, manual save files helped with hours of progress.
