That's great news. I want to know how is this even possible to run on PM.The Showdown demo run At 60fps(120hz total) 1080p which is amazing to me because this demo runs on a powerful GPU.

The only explanation for this is that its not running in 1080p native on PM.

Not enough information to really tell. 1080p 60fps is too vague imho. We don't know all the settings, features etc that were turned off or on etc.

Many see 1080p 60fps as this set feature and don't really factor in a whole lot.

The demo ran on a powerful GPU on Oculus Rift....but its now running on a PS4, we don't really know what else was lowered to have that setting. ie it could be running on medium, low, less shadows, less textures, tessellation etc.

Because its not actually running at 120hz. It's running at 60hz but upscaling to 120 Sony call's it "reprojection." But its definantly not true 120hz

http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...

"We only played the one demo - London Studio's Heist - and it allowed us to sample what is going to be a crucial element of the Morpheus SDK. The demo itself is visually rich, apparently running at 60fps, but the PS4 uses a form of frame-rate upscaling that Sony calls reprojection in order to give the illusion of a higher frame-rate. The idea is that midway between rendering each native image, the PS4 interpolates an intermediate frame based on revised motion data fed to the console from the HMD"

Well you see...this......this is why your here lol.

Probably because it's much more controlled...it's a demo....a lot different when your running a actual game on it.
But maybe Sony has made some g-sync like technology I have no idea.

Lol, maybe I'm becoming an old fart, but excessive violence in VR seems to bother me more than in flat games. Feels more visceral when you're looking a person in the eyes before mutilating them.

By no means am I trying to be a prude and saying these games shouldn't exist. I just play them more sparingly, need more breaks. I need some beautiful, refreshing & relaxing VR experiences too to balance them out so I don't feel so heavy.

I’m an old fart too. I couldn’t believe how violent saints and sinners was.

IMO, there's two that are better than all these (except maybe Beat Saber), Thrill of the Fight and AUDICA.
