is this a pay to win mmo? I see it's free on xb1 but I'm skeptical to start investing time.

I maxed my Guardian Fighter to level 60 and didn't spend a cent to do it.

The only somewhat annoying thing, imo, about the free part of the game is limited bag space. If you sell often it's not a big deal but you can get full extremely easily especially if you carry kits to open all the different "chests".

Other than that my biggest issue is simply the price of Real world cash purchased items as it is pretty crazy. A couple races are hidden behind a paywall but the default races are fine and are all of the more common surface dwelling ones.

For a f2p mmo it's actually pretty solid. Spending cash can help but isn't needed really.

I agree about the bags. That is something I would spend money on.

I've spent $20 on this game to support the devs. Everything in this game can be earned

Don't let people fool you the end game is extremely pay to win. People say that you can earn stuff free, but the fact of the matter is the free method is purposely so slow that even if you grind 8 hours a day you'll never finish refinement before they raise the level cap or just add far better items in order to keep people paying. And you need to do the refinement in order to complete the end game content.

And really the worst part is that even when you spend money Cryptics game plan basically ensures that your investment is guaranteed to become obsolete (by new items or level cap increases) to ensure you'll continue to need to pay if you want to continue in the endgame.

Announcing this expansion is pretty much a joke considering how unfinished and buggy module 6 Temple of Elemental Evil is. Module 6 caused a a mass exodus on PC many guild have literally reported 50-80% less active players since Module 6.

I'd encourage you to check the replies from the PC forum about this but the moderators of the forums literally delete any comment that says anything negative about the game. But the forums are owned and run by a Chinese company so I guess that explains that.

Everything except leveling enchantments at 1% unless you grind for months. You'll need colesance wards which give a 100% chance to upgrade more power full gems/enchantments. other than that, yeah you can earn pretty, much everything.
