VGU writes "E3 is fast approaching and it’s going to be a key year for Microsoft and their Xbox One. Here is the list of things we think they need to do to make up some much needed ground of the competition come June."
Some strong points here. Let's see if they can do matter this year.
"Let's see if they can do matter this year." Sorry but what exactly are you saying? Please type again?
I think he meant better lol
"Blow us away with exclusives" .... agree 100%
But we already know most of the games coming out. Except new ip that is what I'm waiting for
Rare might deliver. Either that or they jumped from Kinect to Hololens.
Klobb said Scalebound could be the game of all time. Boy I hope that comment lives to be true.
I sure hope so too. :)
Just from the games that will for sure be shown Microsoft is going to have a good E3. Between Halo 5, Scalebound, Gears Remaster, Gears 4 and other titles that should be shown, I expect them to have a great showing.
I imagine Rise of the Tomb Raider will be there also :)
And Quantum Break :)
And Crackdown And forza 6 Wow there are so many.
I am looking forward to Forza Motorsport 6 more than anything else :) Its going to be such a great show. All the heavy hitters in the same year. Its like the best year for xbox in a long time. And we get windows 10 as the icing on the cake. Such a good year for xbox
FM6 is going to be awesome. I would love to see even one screenshot right now. Its going to be a good year. FM6, halo 5, tomb raider, smite, gigantic, elite dangerous and whatever surprises E3 brings (we may get gears remaster with online brought along for shits and giggles)
@Moldiver I know right! the suspense is killing me. Just ONE screenshot would make me so happy. Given all the dev features touted for dx12 and how Turn10 always has MS full support to get the best out of xbox hardware im expecting a big step up from Forza 5. Dynamic lighting, better particle effects, Weather, day and night, tire smoke ect.. Like the difference between Forza 2 and 3 back on 360 it will be very noticeable.
the only thing they need to do is show us games, which there's no doubt they'll do.
great to do list , more new ips and tighten up the ps+ numbers of games gap would make it an awesome E3 for me .
No one expects Games with Gold to have a big presence at E3, sure it's where they announced it... But for them to make an improvement on it, it'll require them announcing some form of choice. Giving us a list of games on X1/360 to vote for in a Survey and then top choices get picked. Sure it takes away the surprise but it gives you a more positive reaction when it hits. All I want is them to bring solid exclusives to E3 and to emphasize "Exclusively on Xbox One" much like their Halo ads are being more aggressive with. Do what they did last year by donating a small amount of time to [email protected] games with a cool montage trailer. Thank god for Microsofts Live Event Player because the streams quality is solid.
"Thank god for Microsofts Live Event Player because the streams quality is solid." Pretty much how Ill be watching it. along with snacks. what day is E3, this year, again? anybody?
June 16-19 I believe
Microsoft hasn't announced the date/time for their Press Conference. But chances are they're fast and it'll be on Tuesday @ 12 EST.
Drop the damn parity clause and get rid Chris Charla.
I'm with CobraKing. We already know Halo, Gears, Fable, and Forza are coming because those are the "four legs of Microsoft's table" as Ryan McCaffrey cleverly put on a recent Podcast Unlocked. He also went on to say that he thinks those are becoming tired franchises and I agree with that, too. Simply put: Microsoft needs new IPs. They have not made many over the years. Games like Sunset Overdrive and Scalebound are a start, but they can't continually rely on locking up third-party games as this article also states. Look at last gen when titles like Bioshock and Mass Effect crossed platforms; that is only even more likely to happen this gen considering how well the PS4 is selling. We can only hope all the talk and hype is real. Phil recently claimed this to be their biggest year ever in terms of first-party exclusives. Does that mean the usual dose of Halo, Gears, Fable, Forza? Yes, but there is more we don't know about. Will it, however, be enough? Spencer also recently tweeted that "at least one" new IP will be at E3. To me, that reads one, maybe two, three at the most. Is that enough? I'm not so sure. Hopefully they have more.
My list of things 1- show off tons of games weather 1st party 2nd or even 3rd party but show games 2 - Everyone on same page when discussing any xbox and if you don't have a clue refer the question to someone who does , no more personal opinion or what you thing you know . That's my list .
#1 Not suck ass #2 Focus on games, not "Content" or "Experiences" #3 Do EXACTLY what Sony does.
