One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 uses the power of the PS4 to double the number of on-screen enemies

Dealspwn reports: "One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is set to be fantastic fun. Having played it at Bandai Namco's Level-Up 2015 event last week, I can personally attest to the fact that its ridiculous combat, insane attacks, new gameplay features and anime-inspired visuals left a massive grin on my face. Stay tuned for our full preview later today.

It's coming to PC, PS3 and PS Vita, but Executive Game Director Hisashi Koinuma told me that they've been using the power of the PS4 for more than just shinier visuals when it comes to the current-gen console version."

Played the first game on PS3, was way more fun than I expected and much better than the Dynasty Warriors games. Double the enemies? That's gonna be insane!

Blues Cowboy3702d ago (Edited 3702d ago )

For sure. I much prefer it to Dynasty Warriors too, so much more colourful, vibrant and exciting.

TheImprobableMulk3702d ago

Agreed. I actually gave it a chance compared to the Dynasty Warriors (which have never really interested me) and found it quite fun.

Blues Cowboy3702d ago

@TheImprobableMulk: for me it really captured the zany spirit of the anime (I didn't read the manga, I know, I know :P ) and that energy pumped up the DW formula.

hkgamer3702d ago

im not entirely sure, but the gameplay will or should still be the same. the ps3 will still have the same amount of enemies but they are just not shown on screen. i guess visually it will be amazing to look at and will have the right feel from the anime/manga with massive amount of cannon fodder.

MrSugarholic3702d ago

I really like one piece, but i haven't played any of these games. Are they any good? And have they changed much from the last game?

Blues Cowboy3702d ago

Pirate Warriors 1 is just sorta okay. PW2 is AMAZING, at least IMO. Feels like the anime come to life. PW3 is shaping up nicely by the looks of it.

At the risk of appearing to be concern trolling (I honestly think this is true), Sony should release anime theme games that are more westernized the way Cowboy Bebop was that only rarely played Edward's annoying child voice (I can't tolerate listening to children's voices for entertainment, maybe it is a "getting old" thing) and with a Japanese jazz\blues band that I would have sworn was American and remains my favorite in that genre of music.

Years ago when I was watching anime, I couldn't find any One Piece dubbed episodes... listening to Japanese combined with child voices is unbearable to me. I read a Sony fan on another site harping about all the PS4 anime games coming this year as if they're going to be better than Microsoft's lineup... I can't even get close to agreeing with that, especially if they're not very westernized.

hkgamer3702d ago

its just a difference of opinion and you both have different tastes in things.

i personally dont need things to be westernised to enjoy it. all i need is a good localisation, personally dont like dubs unless its done well like cowboy bebop, ffxii was pretty amazing aswell.

just because you dont like it doesnt mean that others will think the same.

Blues Cowboy3702d ago

I actually prefer subs to dubs so I agree wholeheartedly. That said, it's horses for courses, and it would be nice if Bandai Namco offered dual audio like they're doing for Tales Of Zestiria.

Xof3702d ago

Because who wants better AI, bigger maps, improved gameplay, or flashier attacks? Not Tecmo-Koei, that's for damned sure.

One Piece Pirates Warriors 3 Review

Kinglink Says "When One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 originally released, there was already 8 main Dynasty Warriors games, as well as many offshoots. In addition, there was a number of Samurai Warrior games as well as three Warriors Orochi games by this point. I say this simply to allow the reader to understand the momentum behind One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, and realize that it is yet another Dynasty Warrior game. But is it a good one?"

Almost all ps4 games in flash sales are weak.Older already discounted before, given out for ps plus or old unintresting games. They should give an extra discount on flash sales to ps plus members to make them a little enticing.

phoenixwing2810d ago (Edited 2810d ago )

I bought shiness the lightning kingdom, that was about it though all the others I wanted I bought before in other flash sales.

Yohshida2810d ago

Ps3 are actually pretty good, always find something cheap

or instead of enabling these useless game sites one could, you know, just go to PSN and see the sale themselves....

letsa_go2810d ago

Imagine having to write about every sale that goes on just to get clicks. Ahhhh pennies of ad revenue!

ragnalamb2810d ago

As far as I know, flash sales per-se, are on american stores.

DafunkyRebel2810d ago

Sword art online Re Hollow Fragment, and Jojo Bizarre adventure eye of heaven are pretty fun games if you want to get a good deal on them now is the time,
