When Guillermo Del Toro stepped down from the The Hobbit in 2010, there was incredible pressure from fans for the return of Peter Jackson. Having Peter Jackson direct the (at the time) two films would assuage all fears of them being anything less than brilliant. How could the man who directed The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy mess up?
