MP1st - Star Wars fans on Xbox One will be able to play the upcoming next-gen shooter from developer DICE first, according to a games marketing leader at Microsoft.
Battlefront 1 and 2 gave me so many hours of fun. I still remember reading my game informer mag with the cover reveal to the original game, i was so hype for it back when. Super stoked its making a return.
HOT DAMN, HONEY GO FIRE UP THE ONE!!!!! Wait how early do these ea access things usual let you well........access the game.
Six for most games
Usually around 4-6 hours of the game unlocked I think 1-2 weeks earlier.
i still don’t know why sony did not accept EA Access
Cause they want to keep everything in house, I think it was a dumb move on their part.
Not really if every publisher started this crap your looking at 10-15 quid a month plus the price of xbl/ps plus...
I guess they were afraid that other publishers might demand the same thing. But other than that I really can't think of a reason for rejecting it. It's not like it's a big deal or anything.
And since its entirely optional for the consumer, what does it matter if Activision or Ubisoft pulled something similar? No one is forcing anyone to use it.
Microsoft dropping a ton of cash to prevent other gamers from playing a multiplatform game??? Sounds familiar #tombraider It is different sponsoring a project (bayonetta 2...maybe street fighter 5) and cockblocking people.
This isn't preventing anyone from playing anything, PS4 could of easily had the same feature, but sony chose to opt out of it.
Maybe if you had known why EA access is on xb1 then just maybe you would complain to sony for deciding it wasn't good value for its customers yet all you hear is comments like yours blaming ms for at least giving their customers an option
Now say that again, only with logic and facts, and proper comparison this time.
That is so stupid. When EA started EA Access: 1) They offered to do it on Sony PS platform but Sony declined. 2) The said it would offer early access to games, discounts, and free games. EA's EA Access FAQ here: http://www.ea.com/eaaccess/... Sony declining EA Access here: http://www.gamespot.com/art... All EA is doing is fulfilling the promises of their subscription. This has nothing to do with MS money hatting. Maybe you should go talk to Sony about why gamers on PS can't have this service.
Isn't this game using frostbite ?... Hopefully they can get it past 720p
Maybe it's the reason the technical lead at Dice wants all EA projects moved to DX12 by fall next year also imo Battlefield4 and Hardline could have easily reached 1080p on both consoles COD:AW looked much better and hit higher res. The res issues with BF:H were imo due to budget/time constraints. https://twitter.com/repi/st...
It won't matter by time 2016 rolls around most games will be made with dx12 and the xb1 will be the lead platform and ported to ps4, once EA does it all the other big publishers will be right behind them..
Hold on a second while I get the chalkboard down for you...
@Morgan Lol. You've started trolling xbox articles again? lmao. wth does that even mean?if you must reply my comments then pls try to put in some genuine effort instead of trolling.you need to be mature and reasonable when replying others.
no one knows how much access EA Access users will have. could just be a demo, I doubt it will be the full game
It'll most likely be a demo of the story and the full multiplayer, then 10% off the game.
As much as i would love to play this game,it'll be a broken unfinished mess like all nxt gen games....it will probably be like hardline on ea access 10 hrs of gameplay.
Got to announce this before the PS4 marketing deal kicks in?
This game is sure to be riddled with microtransactions.
Isn't this the same as Hardline? Isn't this part of the EA Access deal? You get to play games first. Like by a week
Full game on time limit 5 days before release As well as 10% off, and access to the vault which includes NHL 15 Madden 15 Ufc Battlefield 4 Plants vs zombies garden warfare Need for speed rivals Peggle 2 FIFA 14 Madden 14 Nba live 15 With more games to come for $30 a year or $5 a month. It's a fantastic service
I am just going to hide my jealousy by saying you are all bug testing for me :) Sony not allowing EA Access seems like this generations dual-shock 3/ six-axis mistake. They corrected it eventually, but they made a pr statement downplaying it. At least they haven't had any other major trip ups. TBH I would rather MS feels happy about EA access exclusivity than them feeling like they need to buy up a game like this in full. I was afraid of that. The jury is still out on Tomb Raider, but I still haven't beaten the first one so there is no rush.
Nah, ea access gets allowed by Sony and every developer Will start to pull shit like this. Then you are looking at 10-20 quid a month plus ps plus/xbl fee...
But the value isnt there...Kappa
Still not convinced EA Access is not one of those exclusive deals they have with Microsoft, like Titanfall for example. If it was a problem with Sony, EA Access would also be on PC but it is not the case. Also one source made the claim with no one backing it up. The response they allegedly gave it similar to the one they gave to the Rise of the Tomb Raider exclusive deal. They praised their first party studios and don't go and buy exclusivity.
If that were the case, then wouldn't Sony's response reflect that? I'm sure they wouldn't hesitate to mention something like that. I'm thinking that they turned them down because it would've taken away from their efforts with PSNow.
If you look up all the responses Sony have given to Microsoft exclusive deals they are ready with the similar PR. This is what was said about Tomb Raider "Well, you know, we've got a very large and very powerful network of studios on our own, all of whom are working on games that will be fully exclusive to PlayStation, and we feel that this on top of partnering with third parties where it makes sense. I think the partnership we have with Activision on Destiny is a good example of where it makes really good sense for them, it makes good sense for us and it benefits our consumers - when you complement those two things we think that gives us a pretty complete position in the market." "So do we feel the need to go out and buy outright exclusivity? Probably not. You saw last night [at Sony's press conference] that before the media briefing we showed updated videos of games that we had revealed at E3. That's because we wanted to keep the show itself full of new, fresh things. We think that gave us a good, strong, convincing portfolio of exclusive stuff and we're happy with that." With EA Access “We evaluated the EA Access subscription offering and decided that it does not bring the kind of value PlayStation customers have come to expect,” a Sony representative told us via email. “PlayStation Plus memberships are up more than 200% since the launch of PlayStation 4, which shows that gamers are looking for memberships that offer a multitude of services, across various devices, for one low price. We don’t think asking our fans to pay an additional $5 a month for this EA-specific program represents good value to the PlayStation gamer.” To me they read the same. PR response to an exclusive deal they can't talk about. I need two independent sources to say Sony saying no. It would be like believing the ex-phantom dust developer's on why the game was cancelled without any other information to back up their story.
Yeah, but it's not free. Who would want to pay a subscription to get games 5 days early? Like, other than mentally-handicapped teens with no life.
The title is misleading, EA Access isn't the same as launching first on Xbox One. It amounts to subscribers getting to play the six hours first five days before the actual launch. If Star Wars fans do not post objections to this now, this will happen to Star Wars games for the rest of the Xbox One's lifetime (EA's Star Wars contract is ten years).
No objections will stop it. The only thing that stopped it from releasing on ps4 at the same time is Sony itself.
BF Hardline gave you 10 hrs of playtime. So where do you get Star Wars is 6 hrs?
