The period after the holiday saw a lull for new media and game announcements, as is routine. As the summer blockbuster season and E3 come into focus, a vast marketing apparatus is finally creaking into action. This week was probably the most significant yet this year for game trailers, with three huge AAA titles taking their turns in the spotlight.
Which trailer was the most impressive?
Embark on a legendary dark fantasy adventure, mix tech and monsters for thrilling hunts, build a community of woodland worshippers, compete in two-wheeled races and more with August’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup!
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Wild Hearts, Cult of the Lamb, Ride 5 and more titles are playable from August 20 for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members*.
We’re also announcing new classics – including the legendary TimeSplitters series – and PS VR2 game offerings coming to PlayStation Plus Premium
This is a great month for me, I have almost bought Wild Hearts a ton of times and same for Cult of the Lamb.
Some really good variety here, and some serious playtime on offer here with all the RPG's. Good luck finishing all these games in a month heh.
Time Splitters is fantastic on the classic side, and glad to see they keep supporting PSVR2 with games
For me, the redeeming titles are the Time Splitters ones. Sadly i do not subscribe to premium, only extra.
Not the best month for me other than timesplitters!! Can't wait to replay them again, be nice if they have trophies too but no danger of they don't, can't wait!
Amazon has announced the lineup of games to be added to Prime Gaming for the month of August, 2024 and it features Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
The PS4 suffers from no shortage of great RPGs. From expansive open world ventures to fully realized fantasy offerings, there's a lot to try.
The Witcher 3 just looks unbelievably good. Hats off to CDprojeckt for making such an astonishingly beautiful looking game.
I have been waiting for a sequel to Human Revolution so the Mankind Divided trailer was also epic and i am sucker for Deus Ex.
So...
Both The Witcher 3 and Mankind Divided are a day one for me. Cant say the same about Black Ops 3.
The trailers for Witcher 3 and Deus Ex were amazing
The Black Ops 3 trailer is just a teaser, doesn't show me anything
Both Deus Ex and Witcher 3 had great trailers. Although it's hard to say, but I think I'll go and say that Witcher 3 had the better trailer, since it was all actual gameplay. Deus Ex's trailer was just CG, but it was also very impressive and had amazing music.
Also, Witcher 3's trailer had a little humour in it, especially this part:
Vampire: "Is it 1358 yet?"
Geralt: "No."
Vampire: "Then f*** off!"
As for Black Ops 3, it's just a teaser, so there's nothing to go on. I'm not as much a CoD fan, anyway.
Witcher 3 hands down. We've seen enough to know that the end product will be pretty much as advertised. Deus Ex was impressive and hopefully the gameplay will be on par.
There was nothing but audio that was telling. We shall see.
Deus ex for me..the whole presentation captures the essence of deus ex franchise so perfectly.. you know Illuminati , augmentation , cyberpunk world in a golden palette and all those stuff. Hopefully the gameplay would also be epic , can't wait for it.
