Reggie from inFAMOUS was once Carl Stoddard from Hardline

Ben from ThoseGamers writes: Over the course of the past week I have been playing a lot of Battlefield Hardline to get a review out. Right from the first Episode something struck me. Carl Stoddard seemed eerily familiar to me. At first I couldn’t quite put my finger on it and then the lightbulb went off and it dawned on me, Carl Stoddard is actually Reggie from inFAMOUS Second Son!

deadpoolio3163695d ago

What in the bloody blue hell are you even talking about...When a game uses mo-cap, yep people are going to look the same...You can't change who Travis Willingham looks like....

Not sure where you get that its disrespectful, using your logic all actors would only ever have one job and have to pray that everything had a sequel....I'd also bet that Travis Willingham is more know for being Roy Mustang on Full Metal Alchemist than anything video game related

LonDonE3695d ago

Agreed LOL trust me i spotted it right away, as soon as i played hard line i was WTF thats that cop brother from infamous ss LOLOL its scary how alike they are, cant be a coincidence!

It's almost like actors play more than one role!

dieger3695d ago

Impossible everyone knows Nolan north plays everyone.

spacedelete3695d ago

Nolan North seriously needs to stop voicing in every game. yes his a good actor and seems like a nice person as well but his voice is getting predictable and boring in most AAA games. if anything when i recognize his voice it actually kills my immersion. he should stick to Uncharted only. AAA games are already stale as it is without having the same voice actor.

DragoonsScaleLegends3695d ago

Troy Baker played every main character in 2014.

MegaRay3695d ago

Well... this is an article post...

Major_Glitch3695d ago

FYI: The guy that voiced Reggie is also the guy that voiced Col. Mustang in the English dubbed version of Full Metal Alchemist.

deadpoolio3163695d ago

He's more know for Full Metal Alchemist and his other anime work that anything he has ever done in video games.....

Clearly its a slow week when we need an article about how an actor plays multiple roles in games, and that characters will look the same when said actors are also used for the motion capture work along with the voice work

Articuno763695d ago

TBF it's not that common in videogames for actors likenesses to be used in multiple games. I can't really think of another example to be honest.

This was one of my harder platinums to get, mainly because the game was the beginning of the Battlefield decline, this game was horrible.

Yi-Long200d ago

DLC for shooters generally splits the player-base between ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’, and it often means that servers became less populated and as a result, many dropped the game completely once that happened …

myDorazio200d ago

Yeah, kind of ironic isn't it. If they had released it a year later with the DLC part of the base experience, it would have gotten a bigger audience.

Hardline at least tried to mix things up for the first time in a while. This was pretty much the nail in the coffin for Visceral though.

MDTunkown206d ago

The map were to small for a lot of ideas, riding around two streets was stupid

Cacabunga205d ago

Yet another great decision made by EA. They really know what they’re doing

just_looken205d ago (Edited 205d ago )

The vip mode was a great idea but the whole game had that need more time in the oven feeling. My only big issue with hardline as a whole was the smgs.

But vip plus c4 classic

Classic mp hardline video of someone actually using a mic in game very rare too see this today

Heck games launch without voip today

GAMERJET206d ago

Hardline was my favorite Battlefield.

Demetrius206d ago

Hardline was fun af, nice size areas to get around in. Got a good 10 hours out of it because I took my time much as I can. Sucha good story and atmosphere

RavenWolfx206d ago

I didn't even know this was something that had been requested. A new Bad Company, oh hell yeah. Hardline? Not so much.

HyperMoused206d ago

Hardline was great for what it was and it had the best MP mode with the moving hardpoints, if you havnt played it the hard points to capture were vehicles, with points earned for how long you are in one, so its this huge mash up of ground warfare and taking out vehicles and getting in one and tearing ass trying not to get blown up...was awesome.
