IGN: Nina Dobrev will call it quits after the current sixth season of The CW's supernatural drama, The Vampire Diaries.

The actress made the announcement via Instagram, writing that she always "wanted Elena's story to be a six season adventure." Although the network has already ordered a seventh season of the popular series, it will now be returning without its female lead.
