Maybe they'll release the wiimake of Crimson butterfly in america, at the very least on the eshop.

IMO, that one will become more likely to get a stateside release, if this one gets decent sales state-side first.
I'm not normally a huge fan of horror games, but I'm giving this game a buy for a couple of reasons:

#1 I want to slowly acclimate myself to horror games in general. I used to play Resident Evil a lot as a kid and the jump scares and tension didn't get to me.
I don't know why they started doing so when I hit around 20 or so (maybe movies going from horror to gore flicks were a part of the cause?), but I want to "cure" myself of it and get back to loving the genre again.

#2 My girlfriend isn't as big a gamer as me, but she does still love scary games, so this is one I think we can have fun playing through together.

I can see them releasing it before to help generate hype. I dont care either way because i have it imported.

I love horror... the Fatal Frame series has the potential to big for Nintendo but they never promote it the right way. Dreadout is a clone of FF made on a faction of the budget and it achieved more success than the entire series combined because of one thing: youtube exposure

So glad Nintendo came to their senses.

I mean that was sort of obvious.
There was literally nothing on this franchise, then they ported Maiden of Black Water likely because it was the easier one to translate to modern devices being a Wii U title and all. And now we are getting a remaster of the 4th title. So it stands to reason that Maiden of Black Water was successful enough to start the whole process.

A remaster of the Fatal Frame 2 remake that was on Wii would be very welcome as well. That game is great. Scared the crap out of me the first time I played it as well lol.
