Blow for Bayern as Alaba is ruled out for seven weeks
David Alaba has been ruled out for the next seven weeks with a medial ligament tear in his left knee, Bayern Munich have confirmed.
The 22-year-old full-back was withdrawn at half-time in Austria's 1-1 friendly draw with Bosnia-Herzegovina following a collision with Hoffenheim's Ermin Bicakcic.
In the wake of the match, Alaba said that he could barely walk and the Bavarians stated that he would undergo tests upon his return to Munich.
