Half-Life 2: Update is a mod made by fans, but that is fully approved by Valve’s, and released on Steam.
The best thing in the whole story is that this remastered version of the game is completely free. Half-Life 2 is 7 GB and brings visual improvements, including enhanced lighting effects as well as detailed texture environment. They also corrected numerous errors which had hit the original edition.
