Borderlands 2 Sales Pass the 12 Million Mark

IGN - Borderlands 2 sales have passed the 12 million mark, according to Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford.

Play 2 first, the pre-sequel is kind of disappointing so far (just started playing it, wasn't going to buy pre sequel until it came to current gen), and might put you off the franchise with it's painfully slow pacing.

This is coming from someone whose favorite franchise is Borderlands.

Yes, personally I have played 1 and 2 and like 2 better, getting the Handsome Collection whenever it arrives in the mail, can't wait for it to get here!

If you are on Xbox One or PS4 The Handsome Collection is a great value with Borderlands 2 and Borderlands The Pre-Sequel and all add on content included. If on PC just watch for sales.

Why even ask, it has moved 12M units. You know how a game does that? Millions of people asking the same question and clearly getting great feedback, especially when it is not an established IP

That's impressive. Gearbox had a goldmine on their hands, but how long can Borderlands 2 stretch their dollar? Borderlands 3 is going to be a hard game to make now, I guarantee you.
