How Much Will Microsoft Charge for Avatar Customization?

Avatars were announced today, even though everyone pretty knew they were coming. You'll be out to customize your look online with clothes and accessories after you make it look like yourself as best as possible. But just how much is this going to cost?

My guess would be like 100 MS points for an outfit or maybe a set of outfits. Wuld be cool if you get special shirts for buying certain games, like a Gear t-shirt when u get Gears 2.

Yeah, that would be cool to get a Gears shirt. Definitely a good idea. With the way it looked in the video, you'll be able to customize everything separately. Hopefully it doesn't end up at buying shoes for Microsoft Points

Of course we will pay. it will come with a set of customisations for free with tons more to buy.
Just like home will come with a basic set of stuff to populate your living space with more luxurious living spaces and items to furnish it with costing real money to buy from PSN.
they are no different. they are in it to make money. If you dont like it dont buy the extra content.

Charging for this is retarded. It's basically a Mii ripoff that has cloths instead of just make a face and choose colors like the Wii. Sure real brands will probably cost money but the basic outfits that aren't related to a brand should be free. A very large portion of people are not going to pay for this in any way shape or form and having limited options from the get go would result in far to many look alike avatars.

In Mass Effect the hardcore achievment unlocked a gamerpicture, so maybe instead of gamerpictures it would be new clothes.

I haven't bought any themes or gamerpics, and i sure as hell am not spending money dressing up a pretend person.

Given, I'll probably make one, and so will my wife, but I'm not spending dime one on this feature. Bring on the netflix integration.
