Pokemon and the Future
Dylan Tierney of FTG: When it comes to Pokemon, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire did a great job of remixing the established region of Hoenn, just one year after showcasing the Pokemon world in three dimensions with Pokemon X and Y. You start tracing the Pokemon lineage back, however, and you’ll start to see an annual pattern. That’s right, we may harp on titles like Call of Duty being annual cash-grabs, but Pokemon’s been doing the same thing for years. What that means for 2015 and beyond for the Nintendo juggernaut could go in several directions.
