SEGA Genesis and SNES Emulators on PS3

PS3hax has a tutorial demonstrating how to run SEGA Genesis and SNES emulators on Playstation3.

When emulation can be born of no tricks on the side, only then will it be something of merit. Now, with Swap and Linux it's just same ol' same ol' stuff.

The day we can go into the browser of our PS3's, DL some made for PS3 OS emulator and then apply Roms to it onto our XMB's or even back up media, yeah, that'll be something.

Right now, it's just a big ol' yawn and hassle but more than that just pointless and unconventional. Hell, what am I talking about, stealing games iss unconventional to begin with.

Or just play them on your PC. You can play everything from the NES to PlayStation on your PC with the right emulators.

I`m done with modded consoles, my Xbox saturated me, lol. Sometimes i think the only reason the Xbox was like it was, was to saturate the modding scene...

There was nothing that was said about that. Also, I have the 2.41 firmware, so I dunno about this yet.

EDIT: Just saw that the thing DOES work on the 60GB with 2.41 (so at least THAT half of it is good), but I guess no one on that site heard of the 80GB or has it (either that or the 80GB is different), so not sure about it still, but at least I have a bit of a chance.

I'd rather just play games that are ment for the console like uncharted and metal gear solid and if I wanted to play a SNES or genesis that bad I go into my attic and get them down. lol

Or use my DS2 to USB converter and play them on my computer so I wouldn't have to take them down from the attic.

i moved on from genesis and SNES

my computer can handle those emu for me, in fact, i still own a genesis and a snes, i am good, my 40GB ps3 is all good, i will pass ps2 games, even tho i do own a ps2.

when its time to move on, we need to move on, otherwise there's no stepping forward.

look at xbox, M$ moved on to 360, i believe Sony should had done the same thing, just move on already, support lesser ps2 or 0 support, more ps3 please.

i am sure they can do a firmware update to allow the current 0 support for ps2 games ps3 system, but i see no reason that i would play ps2 games on my ps3.

in other words gensis/snes on ps3? theres no need. 0 needs.

since ps3's purpose in the first place was to play ps3's game?

I moved on from Rebel Without a Cause and Raiders of the Lost Ark. I can watch them on my VHS, but I have a Blu-Ray player now. More Blu-Rays please, we don't need these old movies anymore.

Or you could install Linux and use AppGet to grab an emulator off the net like I did months ago with no "hack" needed..... sheesh way to make the world more complicated.

That didn't make any sense.

PS3's E3 line-up is longer than 360's. Micro$oft will have fillers or extended presentations to make up for the time other games would have taken.

All 360 has coming is Gears 2. Wow, incredible.

P.S.: MGS4 is of a much higher quality and level than Gears.
