DSOGaming writes: "Reddit’s member ‘vertexnormal‘ – who is a former Maxis developer – has talked a bit about the closure of Maxis Emeryville, and shed some additional light to it. According to vertexnormal, Maxis Emeryville was closed because the SimCity series was it suffered from The Sims’ huge success. And even though the older SimCity games made a profit, they were not even close to what The Sims had achieved."
TNS: "inZOI has been recently released in Early Access and surprisingly, The Sims welcomed it with open arms and a fruitcake to boot."
The Sims Legacy has been such a mess you just wanna scream "Groble!"
Unfortunately in order to run them properly on modern windows you have to tinker with ini files and mod em. Should've been a remaster, these games are much better than SIMS 4.
Celebrate The Sims' 25th anniversary with legacy editions of The Sims 1 and 2, including all expansion packs and a Sims 4 themed bonus!
These games deserve a remaster tbh, and a console release. I already had em installed on my Deck but I as I've said before, OG SIMS on the Switch would be a match made in heaven.
Guess EA still has their Sniper Team on Maxis employees
SimCity wasn't being overshadowed, it was being hated on because of what you guys did to it. The same is happening to the Sims. Only a matter of time
They should of gone back to theme park and hospital loved them
First time I've seen DRM kill a studio. Lesson learned.
