With the Wii having launched here in Japan on the 2nd of December, in the mix of launch titles there was a rather pleasant surprise of a game called Swing Golf Pangya published by Tecmo.
Super Swing Golf launches in the UK this Friday, 29th August, 2008, but has actually been around for quite some time. Based on the Korean online Multi-Player title, PangYa, Super Swing Golf is actually the sequel to Pangya! Golf With Style, a Japanese launch title for Wii, developed by TECMO, which took til June of 2007 to arrive in Europe. By which point, this sequel was already heading to Japanese stores, eventually arriving the following November. And so Super Swing Golf has too arrived somewhat late, but considering the present state of the Wii's UK release list, it could be argued that Rising Star Games' couldn't have got the timing any better.
In contrast to the publisher's other recent Wii release, Baroque, Super Swing Golf is a title that's easily adopted by most. The Control System is...
Well consider IGN disappointed. Following a glimpse at some of the most intense action they have ever seen during Tecmo's Ninja Gaiden 2 live gameplay demonstration at Microsoft's pre Tokyo Game Show press conference a couple of days back, IGN have just learned that the game won't be playable at the show.
Although Ninja Gaiden 2 will miss out, Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword for the DS will have a playable build.
I'm actually surprised. Itagaki had like multiple stages complete judging from his TGS presentation, so I don't get why it won't be playable. Ninja Gaiden Sword is gonna be pretty cool though, and I'll probably get it for my DS.
> "Our goal with Ninja Gaiden 2 is to create the world's premier action game, just as DOA4 was the premier fighting game when it was released at the 360's launch and remains so today," Itagaki said through a translator. "Please enjoy the world's best action game running on the world's most powerful machine, Xbox 360." <
"So if you’re working on a game like Ninja Gaiden 2, where it’s really important that enemies are smart and challenging, then we might use up to two threads on AI".
"Tomonobu Itagaki: Yeah, we have seen the PlayStation 3 hardware and we’re studying it. We’re messing around with it right now. I think it’s a good machine. But I think the most important thing is for people to have good games that they want to play on good hardware".

Oh, no! The Nintendo launch got almost all-around better reviews in Famitsu than it did anywhere else in the world! What has happened to our world!?
(duh)
See also: Mobile suit Gundam gets great reviews in Famitsu, spat upon in rest of world.
Got a pretty good review seeing that it's a fps and japan isn't really up on those types of games. Kind of give it hopes here in the states
This is a game like Hot Shots Golf for PS1 or Tee Off for Dreamcast, both of which I loved playing. I am definitely getting a Wii once I see one for sale again. (What is it about anime characters with big heads that sells golf games??)

cuteness :P
i wish nintendo could release or show sign of a game tageted towards adults
still resident was a game not suited for kids.
but you have to admit, nintendo makes fun games.
was meant to be exclusive to gamecube though. but I guess there weren't enough cubes around for capcom.
Provided there is a market they will get made by third party.
As for nintendo doing that kind of thing, i'm not sure they will, but they are good at what they do.
Also i thought windwaker was a step back to LTTP in artistic style.
