Looks like alot of people think its a very fun game, i wasnt thinking of buying it but now i have to give it a try. Hopefully its as good as everyone is saying it is.

Ori is one of my most anticipated games of this year. After the reveal trailer at e3 i thought it was the most beautiful looking and sounding game ever! Hope you enjoy it bro.

If you want to try it then give the demo a go. Personally I wasn't impressed, but each to their own. Demo will give you a fair idea of how it sits with you.

The demo did not offer much content but I can see I would use this a game to unwind with and relax instead of a drama action style game.

So in short that is the conclusion you came to, yet in actuality two different reviewers enjoyed two very different games differently. IGN did not come together as a whole and make some sort of comparison between the two.

These games are completely different, it is like comparing the Sims to BF4. The reviewer has a lot less to base judgment around and probably has far less standards for the genre when it comes to Sims 3 than say BF4 which has a plethora of competitiors that the reviewer has played and has certain expectations. The Order and screamride could be a similar situation. IMO mentioning the two games together in any sort of comparison is just unnecessary and makes little sense.

Nah, It doesn't really work like that....the scores are relative to its game type/genre but the scores do also speak to a games overall fun-factor so yes on some level I guess the score suggests Screamride is a better game. Now again direct comparisons of games in a totally different genre and price point is foolish because the scoring criteria= expectations vary alot.

For example you wouldn't score a $10 retro 2D indie game low for outdated graphics, tacked on story and very repetitive environments & enemies in the same way you would definitely hate those things in the next $60 big budget hyped up AAA blockbuster game like say the Witcher3. Thats just an example Im sure W3 will be kickazz but just saying if it did fail in key areas like that then of course it would score much lower than we all expect it to. The general understanding that I get from reading lots of reviews is that typically for most indies or non-AAA budget games is that if they really nail the theme(something unique or really nostalgic) & nail the gameplay then they are considered great games, however the bar or expectations for AAA games is much higher.
