Xbox 360 Price Cut Confirmed

Microsoft will cut the price of the Xbox 360 Pro model from $349 to $299 as early as Sunday, according to a new report by the Wall Street Journal.

That rumor of refurbished units being sold as new as already been squashed. They will be new 360's. The refurbished 360's your talking about are units Gamestop has been selling as "refurbished" for $299.00 or less.

I want to buy a Xbox360 arcade, but i cannot find it anywhere where i live... only imported. Cheap (189€) and does the job. PS3 is still to expensive (399€).

i'd always go for the premium over the arcade, you'll end up needing a hard drive for demos or even to play online, and its expensive to buy as an extra

it is illegal, we are talking about a general pricecut of 50 bucks and not if they will offer refurbished ones. you would also have to point out VERY clearly that the box would be refurbished, just printing it on the box and putting it to the other models is illegal.

your compltely worng. xbox has one "heavy hitter" which is gears 2. abd it might just be one of the most overhyped games on a gaming platform.

im so tired of all my friends that have gears of war watch a gears of war 2 trailer and always say" OH MY GOD, I CANT WAIT FOR THIS GAME!!" it just seems ridiculous

the ps3 didnt win a single month here in the u.s last year. maybe world wide but not in the u.s. so that makes you the minority. micro is taking the u.s market from sony you'll see. and last year if you wanted to play the best games you needed a 360. man, you sony fanatics got a short memory span all the ps3 got is mgs4 and uncharted. you sony fanatics claim not to buy a console for a game or 2, funny..

Well the PS3 still outsold the xbox360 worldwide last year. The Ps3 is actually geting closer and closer to beating the xbox360 ever month in America. We already saw one or two months ago how the PS3 outsold the xbox360. The next month after that the xbox360 had more sales but it was extremely close.

This year Ps3 owners can buy MGS4, Resistance 2, and LittleBigPlanet.

Those are the top Ps3 games I know. While on the xbox360 you'll only get two good games which is Gears of war 2 and Fable 2.

that's the thing though we dont live world wide. by micro winning the u.s we are telling them yup we want the next box. the ps brand is huge i know micro probably wish they could of just steped in and took over world sales but im sure they will be happy with taking over the american market first.

yea the ps3 has been winning month to month wich should be expected this is sony it's not gana be a 1 2 punch and it's over. but if sony only outsells the 360 by 20,000 or so units it's gana be a long time before it catches up.

yea lets leave out banjo, ng2, too human. micro held it down last year and now it's sony's turn it's gana go back and forth for a while only i dont see the 360 selling under 100,000 units like the ps3 did last year.

you talk about spike leaving out Banjo, NG2 and Too Human from the list of good X360 games. But in your earlier post you said all PS3 has is MGS4 and Uncharted. What about Resistance 2, LBP, SOCOM: Confrontation, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, and GT5: Prologue just to name some. If your gunna include every game in the 360's list, at least include some games in the PS3's list. I'm not a fanboy, i just get annoyed when people say the PS3 has no games. Yes it does, and so does the 360, so include them all when making comparisons not just one side or the other.

about little Big Planet never understood the hype for this game. Looking forward to Resistance 2 and Killzone2, LBP leaves me cold. And yeah I am also looking forward to GeoW 2 and Banjo and too human and fable2. Gotta have both systems to be a gamer.

we all know whats out and whats coming out for both systems the list gets posted EVERY DAY here on n4g. the first post was about games out rght now as in walk in to you're store and walk out with the game. then mike replied saying all the 360 is getting is gears2 and fable 2. why dont you read the post in the order it's in
