8.4 - Meta-critic
9.3 - IGN
8.0 - Game Trailers

This is the worst review I have seen yet and I have never heard of this site till right now.

Out of 31 reviews 2 were below 80.

ameliabaz3754d ago

The make valid points though. It's a great game in its own right, but the developers didn't remove any of the bugs from the original game which is just lazy.

Pintheshadows3754d ago

Yeah, I found that very strange. All of them are still there from when the game came out originally. You can barely even call it a remaster in many ways. It is more like a re release to run on modern systems.

It is still terrific at its core but as a remaster I am not hugely impressed. If you compare it to say Homeworld (which is bloody amazing) it comes up short.

Genuine-User3754d ago

Did you watch the review?
I enjoyed my first play-through of Grim Fandango but I agree with these guys, I felt the same way about some of the issues they mention.

PudgeyBurrito3754d ago

Out 31 reviews 2 were below 80 is a fact for the remastered version on metacritic. You can fanboy it up all ya want but it's right their and its true.

bananaboats3754d ago

why does everyone always revert to calling somebody a fanboy when their opinion doesnt match with another person. Since when has Metacritic become the site that tells if a game is good or not. I'd rather hear why actual gamers have to say about this game and not from people paid to give it a number. If its anything like the original then im sure it is a good game but obviously not everyone will have the same opnion on it.

This is a no name show with no name hosts that try and remain relevant to the gaming community in Australia when really their only fans are 10year old kids and one user named Pozzle who always posts their shit whenever he/she isn't posting reviews for majoras mask 3ds or resident evil revelations 2.

irishyort3754d ago

I don't really care so much for the review although I would say it is pretty spot on, but .... Hex ... Marry me please !

MasterCornholio3754d ago

Games still a 9\10 for me. But I do agree that some of the bugs were just silly.

Grim Fandango Remastered Review | TheXboxHub

Dave writes: "The weakest of the LucasArts remasters, Grim Fandango Remastered on Xbox One has aged the most in terms of its visuals and obscure puzzling. There’s a fantastic story being told here, with Glottis, Manny, Chepito and the rest being absolute belters. But they’re stuck in a limbo of bloated sandboxes, plodding character speeds and puzzles that should have come with a pre-packaged walkthrough."

They have Remastered for a long time.

Bender65021683d ago (Edited 1683d ago )

And they have been awesome for an even longer time than they have been remastered.Played all of these first time round, along with Monkey island series . A time when point n' click adventures where at their pinnacle, and when eight or sixteen colours on screen was considered bleeding edge graphics. I'm not sure if a modern audience will embrace them in the same way today, but I sure hope they do. Maybe I'll have to drag out my old DX66 based DOS BOX for a replay of the orignals.

These games have aged terribly. There's still some humour there, for sure, but it's a slog between those points. No doubting they were awesome back in the day, but man, don't waste your time.

Dudeson1696d ago

Gotta disagree on this. These games are gems and didn't even need the remakes to still be enjoyable! Grim fandango especially is a great game that I would encourage everyone to try when you are in a mood to game with your feet kicked up, seat in lounge mode and want to have a laugh.

MadLad1696d ago

I also disagree.
I watched a playthrough of Grim, back in the day, so never made a point to play it; but I highly enjoyed going through the remasters of Full Throttle, and DotT, having never played the originals.

No nostalgia involved. I just thought they were highly entertaining experiences.

Wretchedstain1695d ago

I have a real appreciation for the 'Day of the tentacle' remaster, it was and still is a masterpiece to me. How everything ties in and how it was written was so well thought out. Took me weeks to figure it all out and finish the game back in the early 90's, and once I did, I could speed run it and finish it in under an hour (let alone all the time sunk in to finish it).

Schafer: Remember when I used to make good games and wasn't a huge asshole!?
