Too Human Demo Finally Coming

IGN Writes:

Microsoft has announced that its "Bringing it Home" E3 initiative will start up this year on July 14. Through Xbox Live, gamers will be able to download various content from E3, including game trailers, news from the show floor, interviews, gamerpics, themes and demos.

This will include the long awaited Too Human demo that Silicon Knights has promised would come out before the game's launch this August. Keep your Xbox 360 hooked up to a high-speed internet connection and be on the lookout for your first chance to try out Too Human.

My gut's telling me this demo will hurt sales rather than help them. I just don't have a good feeling about this game.

MK_Red5759d ago (Edited 5759d ago )

While I still have hope for this game, I do agree with you. Most demoes keep hurting the sales these days. GRID's demo, Dark Sector's demo, Stuntman's demo...

Dark Sector's demo wasn't that horrible but GRID's demo definitly disappointed a lot of people. Some times you just shouldn't release a demo... if only devs could understand. Hopefully it won't be as sever as GRID's rathe buggy demo.

solidt125759d ago

I was thinking the same thing but I hope that the game is good after all Silicon Knights had to go through with Epic and the development of this game.

okcomputer5759d ago

It takes balls for a dev to put a demo out before a game's release, so I'll give them credit for that. That being said though, I had mild interest in both dark sector and haze, but after playing the pre-release demos of both games I was disappointed and stayed away from both. This will either be really good, or really bad for sk, one more week to find out.

RacingX5759d ago

While I do agree that a demo may not be a good thing for this game because people are expecting the world from this one and I don't think its going to deliver, I hope it does because I like Silicon Knights offerings, but I'm leary. Nonetheless I loved the GRID demo, I had the PS3 demo,it made me want the game, I never came across any glitches. I wasn't looking for a super realistic racer either, I have GT5P so I didn't want a "realistic" racer maybe that had something to do with it. IDK.

InMyOpinion5759d ago

Or it will be one of those games that gets better the more you play it. I'm not too hopeful though, but you never know.

Silver3605758d ago

left and right they need a demo to show gamers that the game is good and build up word of mouth. There has been too much negativity since E3 2006.

dachiefsman5759d ago

well now this will make or break my purchase...fo sho

Superfragilistic5759d ago

Now it gets serious. It doesn't have to explain everything it just needs to do a Bioshock and get people wanting more.

Fingers crossed that the co-op is included and they give us some higher level characters to play around with! :)

u got owned5759d ago

I'm really looking forward for this demo. But like you said this will make or break my purchase. At least i get to try it and judge it my self =)

ISA_Scum5759d ago

just how bad this game is from something outside of gaming media. No more sugar-coating it IGN-style, now we're going to get some unrated gamer rants going about it.

It should also be fun to hear those blindly standing by this dud still trying to defend it after the public get their hands on this thing.

HOWEVER, props to SK for releasing the demo despite negative vibes surrounding their game. Can't say the same about lame Factor 5 and Lair last year.

Superfragilistic5759d ago

It'll be a hell of lot more fun to quote you, if the game isn't half as bad as some claim! :)

Jack Meahoffer5759d ago

Yeah I see what you mean... It'll also be fun to see people BLINDLY trash and judge a game they haven't played yet.

Oh wait you just did that...

Do you believe everything you read on the internet as fact or do you just believe the things that are negative against the console you don't like?

ISA_Scum5759d ago

Go ahead and quote me. I've got no problems with that. I think there's enough evidence to support the fact that this game is a dissapointment, like Haze before it and LAIR. Bombs happen, this is just another easily recognized one.

Silogon5759d ago

Retail disaster confirmed.

Thoas5758d ago

WOW you said something that made since. The funny thing is M$ spent alot of money on this crap and it's no way they can spin its failure, just like Sony couldn't spin Lair's failure.

Ace Killa 085759d ago

i never really wanted to buy this game and this was like for 2 years since it was suppose to come out. so some people are right this demo will make it or break it. we'll see how it goes

Too Human Free for Xbox Gamers - Download It Here

The action-RPG by now-defunct Silicon Knights is now free for Xbox gamers! Check out the Too Human free direct download link with armor sets here.

RazzerRedux1393d ago

Fun fact: I'm one of five people to have completed Too Human and actually liked it. It should be noted that the other four ended up in mental institutions....sadly.

excaliburps1393d ago

I completed it and kinda liked it. Controls were iffy but overall, I dug it. Shame Dyack was crazy. xD

IanTH1393d ago

Glad to hear it! So, when did you get out of the institution?

Marquinho1392d ago

Too Human was "The Order: 1886" of the 360.

Nitrowolf21393d ago (Edited 1393d ago )

I have never played this, mostly because I didn't own an Xbox prior to a few months ago Def. will check this out

darthv721393d ago

It certainly has a cool story and its a good game. it was just marred by long development time and kind of egotistical creator.

Looper1393d ago

Hey!! I was told survivors had all signed an NDA! I'm telling!

Kribwalker1393d ago

i really liked this one too. Always wished for a sequel, but sadly i don’t see it in the cards

excaliburps1393d ago

Yeah, it had a solid story and game mechanics. I remember the controls weren't smartly implemented, and every time you respawned, the animation was so long.

Fantangoooo1393d ago

I can't count the number of times I finished this game gridding for gear. Weird control but I liked it

Neonridr1393d ago

sounds very Polybius to me..

Poopmist1393d ago

Me and my friend beat it so many times. I got the best armor mathematically possible in it. Great game imo but their needed to be more tutorials on how runes work. The one that spawns singularities upon hitting someone was cash.

DerfDerf1393d ago

I actually really enjoyed it.

RamRod881393d ago

I beat it too. The controls were weird, but once I got use to them it was okay. I found the story to be actually half decent. Too bad there wasn't a sequel because I really believe if they have fixed the issues the first game had(controls, camera, etc), it could have been a great series.

HyperMoused1393d ago

I though it was great too, yay us

Anomander1393d ago

Beat it as well. it had a good story line. Overall it was decent.

glennhkboy1393d ago

I remember that I played the 1st stage. The control was so bad that I couldn't force myself to continue.

morganfell1393d ago

Fun fact...you're actually one of six :) That game was the reason I kept an Xbox 360 running until they released the very last B/C titles and it was among them.

Chronicle7801392d ago

I thought the game was ok, clunky but ok. Every time I go back to play it though it takes 20 minutes for the controls to 'click' again. Pity most of the advanced combos and controls aren't listed anywhere in the game.

Wait, people actually liked this game???????

Profchaos1393d ago

Wait wasn’t it always free?

Father Murder X1393d ago

This game had some potential. I actually liked it.

Phoenix Down 87.0 – Too Human

Denis Dyack would disapprove.

darthv721641d ago

I liked this game. It has it's flaws but the story and mechanics are pretty good. It still holds up today.

Kribwalker1641d ago

i really enjoyed it when it came out.

It was free recently on xbox through BC. Id love to see this revived but sadly i think the legal issues would stop that
