Sega needs to learn from the mistakes it already made with the Sonic series.

Sega is doing a lot of good things right now. Sonic isn't one of them.

Abash3369d ago

If Sega and Sonic Team actually learned from their mistakes, we'd be playing as Tails and Knuckles again. The fact that Sonic the Hedgehog games are just games with Sonic only playable with the incorporation of some new gimmick that is destined to fail is why people don't really think much of the series anymore

Sonic boom had amy , tail , and knucles playable and it was CRAP.

So i respectfully disagree with your opinion.

@Redempteur

Sonic Boom =/= Sonic the Hedgehog. What those games do and introduce is part of it's own separate branch that isn't with the main Sonic games. Until a new console Sonic the Hedgehog game makes Tails and Knuckles playable again, they are continuing to neglect what many fans actually want in Sonic games

YOu think the mom and dads or the kids looking for a sonic game cares that sonic boom is in another continuity ?

NO all they see is a crappy sonic game...

gangsta_red3369d ago

Sega hasn't learned a thing as they keep burying their mascot in more mediocrity.

If anything Sega should look at Mario as Nintendo takes their mascot in new, exciting and more successful directions as Sega tries to do with Sonic.

Learn one thing or two from Rayman Legends.

Sonic games never flop...
(Besides Sonic Boom)

That has to be why Sega keeps making more

Most Sonic games sell atleast 1 mil

Stop beating the shit out of the Sonic license and come up with something else?

Sega sells Relic and will cut 240 jobs across UK studios

GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.

The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

just_looken41d ago

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

gold_drake42d ago

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol

SEGA’s Switch Predecessor: What Happened to the Nomad?

Sega had such a turbulent existence from the mid-90s to when they dropped out of console manufacturing entirely in 2001, it’s understandable if you’ve never heard of the Genesis Nomad.
