Crytek Bringing New VR Showcase to GDC 2015

VRFocus- Virtual reality (VR) enthusiasts may recall last year’s Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany as being fairly uneventful for the technology. One of the bigger reveals of the show, however, was that Crysis and Ryse: Son of Rome developer Crytek had its own VR showcase to exhibit with the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). Running on the company’s own CryEngine 3, the demo allowed players to walk through a wooded environment. Crytek has kept quiet on its work in VR since that time, but will be revisiting the technology at the upcoming 2015 Game Developers Conference (GDC).
